December 29, 200520 yr I want to set the 'scenery complexity' slider from 'Normal' to 'Sparse', but when I do so I also lose an addon scenery on an airfield that I want to keep.My question: is there a way to keep the addon scenery active whilst the scenery complexity slider is on sparse? Thanks in advance for an answer.FransSystem WinXP, FS9.1
December 30, 200520 yr Author Commercial Member Hi Frans,No, without changing the scenery itself that is not possible. The designer of that scenery has chosen to let it dissapear at the low complexity setting to save performance. December 31, 200520 yr As a scenery designer it has always puzzled me why anyone would adjust this setting from anything but extremely dense. You'll miss all sorts of scenery levels.Leave it alone unless you have a Duron 800.http://www.flightontario.com/images/sig_jkanold.gif
January 1, 200620 yr Author Commercial Member I guess the entire point of this setting is to allow a dense scenery to run on slower PCs. But from my experience most users always leave it at extremely dense. Instead of lowering it, while they have an almost antique PC, they prefer to complain to the author of the scenery that it won't run properly.
