Project Kai Tak Airport (VHHX)

Featured Replies

Hi all,This is the first time i join this forum. hello all.Recently I've downloaded a new mesh of Hong Kong from flightsim.com (pvhk11.zip). Which looked really beautiful. This mesh actually inspired me to create a much more exciting scenery for Hong Kong Kai Tak VHHX. With the help of google map and using GMAX, now i am adding hundreds of real scale buildings into the Kowloon area to create a realistic look of the actual Kai Tak. My plan is to make thousands of these ugly boxes right underneath the IGS path and position them with the google map. I didnt plan to add textures at this stage, which is quite odd to go without textures. cos it's too much work to deal with the textrues... i may need some help with texturing.Hope this will create the most realistic experience for all flight simmer to land on Kai Tak.I am still working on this project and hopefully to be complete by next month or two.Terminal buildinghttp://williamng.homeip.net:8080/prjkt/project_kaitak_1.jpgApproaching rwy 13http://williamng.homeip.net:8080/prjkt/project_kaitak_2.jpgNow this is really realistichttp://williamng.homeip.net:8080/prjkt/project_kaitak_3.jpgThis screen shot is up-to-date (25 June 2007)http://williamng.homeip.net:8080/prjkt/project_kaitak_4.jpgThis screen shot is up-to-date (25 June 2007)http://williamng.homeip.net:8080/prjkt/project_kaitak_5.jpgThis screen shot is up-to-date (25 June 2007)http://williamng.homeip.net:8080/prjkt/project_kaitak_6.jpgabove photos were hosted at my own server, i have uploaded on avsim here just in case. tell me about your opinion.Regards,Williamhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174288.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174289.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/174292.jpg

That's coming along real nice William. Done in a couple of months? That's pretty darn fast. Took us three years to create Kai Tak! Ha! Gee, could have used your Gmax skills back then :( "Long Live Kai Tak!"www.MileHighProductions.cwhnetworks.comClutchProject 9Dragons
