July 12, 200718 yr Is there a way to see which landclass is under the aircraft? That is, I need to see which land class is currently shown in FSX beneath the aircraft which, in this instance, is being used as a pointer/locater in top/down view.Regards,Dick BoleyA PC, an LCD, speakers, CH yoke regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA

July 13, 200718 yr Hi Dick:I believe newest TMFViewer from the FSX SDK still only offers the ability to look at specific previously identified files statically outside of FSX rather than via a "live" or "follow" function like Jim Keir's LWMViewer. Although LWMViewer v1.3 still works with a live "follow" function in FSX with an appropriately updated FSUIPC, many files have been changed between FS9 and FSX, and I don't know that Jim has plans to update this utility to report the new FSX filenames (I sure wish he would!).Jim Keir's "FlightSim Stuff":http://www.jimkeir.co.uk/FlightSim/index.htmlPete Dowson's FS Modules:http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=54Hope this helps! :-)GaryGB
July 13, 200718 yr Author Yes, I have used Jim's LWMVIEWER in FSX but as I recall there were some issues.Indeed it is unfortunate that TMFVIEWER does not link to FSX to "position the aircraft" on its display. This is a definite liability in its utility.Maybe I will revisit Jim's program to see what I can squeeze out of it for checking on my landclass assignments.Regards,Dick BoleyA PC, an LCD, speakers, CH yoke regards, Dick near Pittsburgh, USA
