September 17, 200718 yr Hey guys, I have some doors keyframed for an "aircraft", but on the scenery version, I'm not sure how I can trigger them in FSX.http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/Ben...nterprise55.jpgBasically, I'd like a "visitor" to the scenery to trigger an animation. How can I do that for FSX?Thanks for any suggestions.
September 17, 200718 yr A couple of updated pics now that I finished.Any ideas on how to trigger scenery animations (user triggered) in FSX would be appreciated. The model itself already has the collectors animated. Looks really cool at night.Patrick
September 17, 200718 yr Hi Patrick:Looks like some really good work there! ;) Arno has often shown a particularly thorough understanding of what is involved in scenery triggers for various versions of FS, and has written one or more tutorials and utilities for that.He might be busy right now, but usually pops in here on a regular basis. While awaiting a reply here, you might wish to "transport" yourself over to his website and check out the tutorials, utilities and forum posts:www.fsdeveloper.com:-abduct Hope this helps!:-) GaryGB
September 17, 200718 yr Yeap, I know about pretty much all the sites, but hoping someone sees this that might know how to do it in FSX.Thanks
September 22, 200718 yr Commercial Member Hi,I was on vacation the last two weeks :).For FsX I don't know yet how we can trigger scenery animations. If I would have to make one now I would use the Fs2004 gamepack and me CAT tool to do the triggering. Hopefully we can figure out how to do it with the FsX gamepack as well later on. Arno If the world should blow itself up, the last audible voice would be that of an expert saying it can't be done. FSDeveloper.com | Former Microsoft FS MVP | Blog
September 22, 200718 yr Hey Arno,Hope your vacation was great. Yes, oh well, I guess openning doors will be only on the full-sized version.I made the bay landable but will be a little harder to land in it with someone else flying it!Patrick
September 22, 200718 yr Thanks. Looks even better every day as I learn more:http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/Ben...ionics/Mtns.jpghttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k282/Ben...ics/phasers.jpgI love my new wallpapers, haha.
