November 27, 200718 yr I was just wandering if anyone knew how to get Lee Swordy's great AFCAD program to fully work in FSX. All I can currently get it to do is create airports, and I don't want to cough up dough for Flight1's new AFCAD for FSX.
November 27, 200718 yr Commercial Member Hi there, not sure what you are referring to beyond "creating airports" with AFCAD2.exe but there are two freeware alternatives to AFX, FSXPlanner and ADE.http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7024http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=82Neither of them is an AFCAD2 "clone" like ASX but both are fully featured airport facility editors. I like FSXPlanner for its easy access to most parameters (helps with making changes to existing airfields) and ADE for the way you can quickly edit the locations of runways, taxiways, and aprons. Thus, I use both depending on the task I have.Cheers, Holger
November 27, 200718 yr A new ADE Version 1.00 has just been uploaded to AVSIM. Will arrive shortly. The support forum is herehttp://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=95and the ADE current Home Edition version for download
