January 11, 200422 yr Surely this question has appeared before, but searches have turned up nothing, so forgive me if this is old hat. When requesting take-off clearance, why do some commercial AI aircraft include their destination and some do not? Examples: "Seattle tower, Horizon 2289 ready to go, Runway 34R, IFR to Pocatello" and "Seattle tower, Horizon 2376, ready for IFR departure, runway 34R". These are actual examples from flight plans imported from www.mostrealisticai.com.There must be a parameter set in one of the bgl or cfg files that controls the format of the clearance request. There must also be a collection of wav files for all the destination city names. Anyone know where these files are, and if they are editable?I would like to be able to get all of the AI flights to specify their destination, since it adds interest to the radio chatter.
January 12, 200422 yr I'm not sure you can control this. My experience in FS2002 has been that there are multiple "phrases" that the program selects from when making this announcement, like "at runway 24" or "ready to go." Some of these don't include the destination, while others do.
January 12, 200422 yr Not all the world's destinations are in the ATC's compressed sound file. If the city is not in the file, it can't be said.As the above suggested, visit http://bevelstone.xs4all.nl/FlightSimulator/EditVoicepack .W. Sieffert Bill Sieffert
