April 4, 200620 yr OK, I run FS9.1 on a 3.06 GHz HP machine (Windows XP Media Center 2005) with a P4 and a GB of RAM and a ATI Radeon 9250 256MB video card. I have numerous payware installations, mostly scenery, but also including Traffic 2004. I fly for a VA with its own PAI traffic; I merely need to install the PAI aircraft & update the textures. When I run the PAI Installer, even right after boot-up, I can get thru about 4 or 5 steps, then I get a message that "TTools is already running on your system" and I can then get nowhere. I exit the installer, go to Task Manager and see that there are in fact, no TTools-related applications running at all. WTH???Please advise.
April 5, 200620 yr Author Hi,There is something that can fix this problem, but I've forgotten what it is. Post this question on the PAI forum:http://www.projectai.com/discuss/index.php?board=48.0Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
April 5, 200620 yr WOW! a reply from THE Tom Gibson. Great site, great stuff, sir. We've another issue to talk about privately (namely, getting "Classic Reeve aleutian 1972" off the ground; I flew RAA on classic propliners that year & have timetable, statinery & other RAA swag that would make for an awesome website). I'll keep the original question alive here, and research the PAI forums some more. A more direct link to a solution would be most welcome if someone would care to post one here.
April 5, 200620 yr Author Hi again,Thanks! You can contact me at tgibson at sunstroke dot sdsu dot edu if you wish. Unfortunately, I don't have room on my server to include such material, though.I did a quick Google search, and found this old post:http://72.14.203.104/search?q=cache:mGiAJG...us&ct=clnk&cd=1It seems to infer that you have the PAI Installer somehow mixed in with the Ttools files. It should be in it's own folder.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___ Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page
