GA aircraft

Featured Replies

I have been doing a lot of vfr flying with the default ms aircraft but im getting bored of them. Im wondering fi there are any other GA aircraft out there that are freeware and are high quality.

Try Warren Baier's Piper Arrow (should be available here at avsim or at flightsim) which comes with a fine virtual cockpit and opening doors.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3ce980ba17a221da.jpgAt Carenado (www.carenado.com) you can get a few very nice free C152s and a free Piper Tomahawk. The Detail is superb, but these are FSDS designs without opening doors or virtual cockpits.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3ce9816618da312a.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3ce981f71a2dda49.jpgThe last pic I took in FS2000 hence the FSTraffic aircraft, but the plane works fine in FS2002 with the upgrade available from Carenado. The FSD Pilatus Porter also has to be one of the best aircraft for FS. Not sure where it can be found though these days. Try a search here at avsim and at flightsim. Again this aircraft has no virtual cockpit. http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3ce9835c1d93b3d3.jpgAlso do a search for the author Mikko Malniemi. He has a number of nice GA aircraft out.Misha

The new Beach Debonair is very nice. Also look for Mike Stone's Piper Meridian. There is a package of 2 porters that was for FS2000 but have been updated for FS2K2. Also check out Fred Banting DH-2 Beavers (also FS2K updated for FS2K2)in wheel, ski and float. Also do a seacrd for piper p-22's...there are a few nice ones and they even have VC's!There are some nice C-185's and a great Fleet Cannuk (with VC also). Both of those are in wheel and float too. All of these are free.Wow, that's not even close to all of the great freeware a/c that I've downloaded! That reminds me...THANK YOU TO ALL OF THE TALENTED FREEWARE AIRCRAFT, SCENERY AND OTHER ADDON DESIGNERS!!!!And if you're looking to drop a few bucks, the Dreamfleet Archer is a real beauty. http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/Us...cdf6182b41d.jpg Great Lakes Express VA - The Midwest's regional and feeder airlinehttp://www.voyagerairlines.com/gle/index.html

My favorites right now are the De Havillands at http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/premaircraft/wjiBTW, imo, where one flies VFR is as important [for variety] as what one flies>I have been doing a lot of vfr flying with the default ms >aircraft but im getting bored of them.
