Hi Roger,1/ No, I didn't modify any of the VCF files. I don't know what to modify.2/ Other problem : my fresh rate is set to 85Hz but when I go to the Fly!1 flight planner, the fresh rate turns to 60Hz then comes back to 85Hz in the simulator. Is there a way to set definitely the fresh rate to 85Hz ?Thank you.;-)Damien - LFQQ.http://perso.club-internet.fr/udb/Cliparts/Avion.gif

Now, that's a tough one since I haven't done it for ages, but I'lltry my best....Ok, first you have to create a Videao Card Report.txt file.Start Fly!1 and go to Options - graphics. Now press the shift keyand click on Auto Detect at the same time. A message box willappear, telling you that the Video Card Report file has been created. Now you can exit Fly! and you will find the Video Card Report.txtin Fly's main folder. If you open it , it should look somethinglike this.Video Card Report for FLY!============================================================================================Direct3D (Most hardware) (trid3d.dll)Card #1: Card Name = display Card Desc = Prim

Thank you for your answer, Rodger !Before you answer my message, I tried to edit the VCF file and I could see GeForce FX 5600 in the graphic options of Fly!1.BUT there's a huge problem : aircraft textures look terribly blurry and I could see some strange textures on the ground (white textures, blue and black textures, ...). Quite strange ... Moreover, some aircraft are partly transparent.:-( Moreover, I've got a "DirectX6 3D Driver error".Damien - LFQQ.http://perso.club-internet.fr/udb/Cliparts/Avion.gif

G'day Damien,I run Fly! II and Fly!2k on Win 98SE / DX9 and FX 5900 video card.I think the driver you are using for your graphic card might be your problem. When I downloaded the latest 56.64 driver I found that Fly!2k wouldn't run, (kept giving an error on bootup) so I went back to the 45.23 driver and that works fine.Another problem with the 56.64 driver was that the landing lights didn't work with any aircraft in Fly! II.Using the 45.23 driver and selecting "DX6 compatible (AGP)" in the graphics setup window Fly!2k works perfectly.Just food for thought if the new scf file doesn't cure the problem.Cheers,Roger @yssy

Thank you Roger !:-jumpy I've downloaded and installed the 45.23 drivers and now it's working perfectly !:9There's just a problem : there are some graphic bugs when we set antialiasing "ON" in the graphic card parameters. Is there a way to turn antialiasing "ON" in the VCF file ? How to do ?I still have the 60Hz refresh rate problem on the starting screen ...:-hmmmDamien - LFQQ.http://perso.club-internet.fr/udb/Cliparts/Avion.gif

Hi Damien, glad it works for you now! For the refreshment issue, try to go to your video card driver tab (windows) and check override refresh rates for your card. Then try to change the reolution values manually. Especially the lower resolutions at 8/16/32 bit, for the startup screenn will use one of those (not sure which one).Since I use the german version of Windows,my description might not be exact for your system, but I hope it will be of some help.

G'day Damien, I'm running at 4x anti aliasing and 2x anisotropic filtering, both on the card. I can't remember any program options. What exactly do you mean "graphic problems"??Also what version of Fly! do you have? If it's the original release of Fly! have you patched it up to Fly!2k level. Check out the anchored post at the top of this page to see what patches are required.Cheers,Roger @YSSY

Hi Damien, your request reminded me that I had not deleted the old FLY (1) Installation on a HD which I put as a second one into my new computer. My hardware and software has changed the last 12 months and I was very astonished that FLY (1) runs without complaint very fast and fluendly on my new PC (but already had a NVidia graficcard before, I think it was a 4200):AMD Barton 2500+768 MB system RAMGeForce FX 5600XT with 8x AGP, 128 MB memoryNVidea driver 53.03 (DirectX version 9.0b (the newest German version)Windows XP Home (now with service pack 1)2 different FLY(1) versions, all ok: V 1.01.86 and V 1.01.88I think it was NOT the last time I fired FLY (1) as all the sceneries I could not use with my old hardware run very high speed without no stutter, it was pure joy and delight to test it.Some impressions of this wonderful evening (Tempelhof, Frankfurt/M, Rio):http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/82887.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/82888.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/82889.jpgIf you also need my *.ini's, let me know!RegardsGeorg
