July 11, 200223 yr Hi Chris,I use F4 not very often, but only based to the fact that the interieur is looking horrible in most planes. If we have a good textures we may can create much better cockpit resolutions there. In fact the free movable view around there is giving me the most real feeling when taxiing at the airport. That was the reason I invested a little time for the F4-view in the DC3.Ansgar A.
July 11, 200223 yr I use the F4 occasionally with the Stemme, but only cus Im using a "Microsoft SideWinder Force Feedback Pro joy stick".This stik cums with its own foftwear, and preeset game configerashons.By diliberatly using the rong game configerashon in FU3,when I pull the triger on the stick, the stick itself operates as ahat swich. This givs me much more controle over the speed of the paning vews, and zooming. And its very good.Unfortunatly when the stick is controling the x y z of the vews, its not controling the pich rowl & yor of the glider. And vice-versa.It will not control the vews and the aircraft at the same time.We would not entertane controling the pich rowl & yor of a aircraftusing only ON OFF buttens. So why shoud we put up with controling the x y z of the vews usingonly ON OFF buttens, which is all a hat swich is, ON OFF buttens.Wat is needed is 2 stiks, one in eech hand, one fore the vews, andone fore the aircraft. So when I sor that the latest pair of "Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar" sticks has a microstick that can be used insted of a hat swich, I bort them.
July 12, 200223 yr Almost never in FU3. I don't use it because there are no working gauges. In FS2002 I use the Virtual Cockpit much more often. -
July 13, 200223 yr Steve,In Captain Bazza's Micro-Lite sometimes... otherwise not at all.No, I take that back... I sometimes fly from the external view in the Micro-Lite... not F4. So the answer is "never".BTW... on my copy of the Micro-Lite I have removed all the Stemme images and am using a modified version of Gideon's Cub panel (panel only... no Cub) for the IFR... blank for all other views.
