London screenshots:For those who requested some shots before the weekend ...Here's some recent pics taken with my (rusty old rewirable) Box Brownie camera, leaning precariously out the window whilst I flew the Baron with my feet, on a a recent joy-ride around the city, looking ar recent changes.I have been experimenting with adding shine to the buildings (nothing clever - just getting good source pics and sunny days and experiments with resolution) - and I think these new buildings are starting to look better:http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/11402.jpgA new barrier to progress:http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/11403.jpgMating season at London City Airport - runway scheduled to be demolished and replaced by a proper concrete one. Yes, this looks promising! I'll have a busy weekend by the way but as soon as you send me the concrete for LC I'll try to contribute. I like those "groins" in the river. What are they?Hans Petter

Hans,That's the Thames Barrier, which protects central London from the risk of flooding.Chris Low,ENGLAND.

Hi Robert,The new London City area looks nice. When you do the package please remove my old wrong Canary Wharf Building (location is correct but the building is totally wrong, a Seattle model). It was a quick and dirty build in the first release of the region :-) :-wave agtim

Thanks for the comments - much appreciated. Yes, the "groin" things are meant to be the London Thames Barrier - designed I think to control flooding (well I don't know muh about them at all really - thanks Chris).Agtim - I don't think I can do the actual Canary wharf - well maybe later if I can get some good pics, but I just wanted to add some high buildings on the approach to London City Airport which I am making with Hans Roverud at present. Mine are the actual buildings, although I had to guess at the heights - if anyone knows more let me know! Can I leave your models in for the moment - I need something there, and it has the right shape and complexity to represent C Wharf. Anyway, you know more about it than I did - I didn't know this was Canary Wharf. Just an ignorant colonial ...Bye for now,RobD.
