FU glider flyers...neat.

Rob,Not just fighter aircraft either! The reason is to allow clean rotation upon touchdown (a 'fixed' nosewheel could cause you to dart off the runway real fast) and to prevent a sideways lurch when the nose lifts during takeoff. It's just a pity we can't model it in FU3. My Dash-8 'advisor' in Canada described an accident which occurred in a jet because the nosewheel didn't unlock before landing. Although nobody was injured, the aircraft was a write-off (due to crossing a drainage ditch).Jon Point*************************([email protected])*************************
