I've been doing a couple of repaints and I thought I would just upload the repaints because they should be a smaller file. Wrong! The repaint file is almost three times larger than the res file for the whole aircraft. I will be uploading them as complete airframe as soon as they are ready. It's just wierd.

Hello Steve,if a simple repaint (or 3...4 set

I feel stupid. When I was looking at the size of the files, it was before zipping them up. Usually image files don't compress very well. Bitmaps are one of the exceptions. Thanks.

Ehhhh, come on Steve,you mustn

Folks,In my experience (not much), I find the best (worst?) way to get HUGE livery packages is to include cockpit bitmaps! At 800x600x65K, even with compression, they are the lion's share of the package. Also, there are 16 of them (or 32 with the B400 base...). Sounds also inflate the package too. "Normal" textures/palettes don't 'coz they are sooo small anyway ;)Besides, one should try using 'WinAce' anyway - it's muuuuch cooler...:-waveJon Point*************************([email protected])*************************
