It's novice FLED time again guys!My moving objects don't move. They do in FLED but not when I go into FU3.e.g. I have placed one of Jon's Twin Otters so it taxi's past the park spot at Rio Vista. This it dutifully does in FLED. But in the game it just sits there.I have selected 'start automatically'. I have also tried unchecking that and having 'start when ANY object within 500 meters.I have read many times that FLED is frustrating and now I believe it!Graeme

Objects only move reliably if the flag for path looped is set.

Graeme.First of all I've never found fled to be frustrating, I've never had a problem with it. It's a great piece of software that will allow you to add most anything you want to within your game of FU3.Now to your problem to add a moving object, open fled, make a new package, Click Objects, Click edit moving objects, click new, name your package, here's an example, I went to Port Angelos and added a DC3 with the wheels down. notice how all the options are set?Make your draw path as in the picture and then save, then close, then exit,Examplehttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/62302.jpgThen just go to Port Angelos and wait for your DC3http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/62303.jpgTo rip your wing off :-lolhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/62304.jpgIf you'd like your item to be flying then uncheck the grounded box and click on the 5 green boxes in your draw path, It looks like there's only 4 but the last box is actually over the first one.You have to click on all 5 and set the alt. make sure the last one and the first one have the same Alt setting, then pull them back together (The 1st and last green boxes) set your speed as you'd like and your good to go.Have Fun :-jumpyAllan and Puppyhttp://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gif

Graeme,I found adding animated objects to be a "hit and miss" affair when using FLED. It may be that your modifications are not being saved, in which case it would be a good idea to follow Allan's instructions precisely.Let us know if this works.Chris Low.
