June 2, 200422 yr This is the version released through Jon's distribution (I think - as I sent this at a late stage). Anyway, this version of Luton was rebuilt from scratch based on the thread here recently on faster packages. The package has fewer models, far less transparency, less double-sided textures (I redid the tanks) etc.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/78533.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/78534.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/78535.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/78536.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/78537.jpg

June 2, 200422 yr Robert,Did you solve those problems that you were having with the AI planes ?Chris Low. Christopher Low AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU / 64GB DDR5-6000 RAM / 12GB Nvidia RTX 4070 Super GPU / Gigabyte X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7 / 1+2TB Samsung Evo Plus M2 Nvme UK2000 Beta Tester
June 2, 200422 yr Solved to a point - I can't make them use the bays as I would like, but its near enough. And the crossover nodes ('empty nodes') was a great discovery, but only ever worked at one end for some reason. Which reminds me, I haven't done much on the beacons/markers etc for any of these packages for a while! If there are things people want fixing, send me a note. But I think the main one I need to address is putting together a new UKS airspace - easy to do, just hasn't made it to the top of my list yet. I downloaded some details on the real airspace and then forgot about it in the rush of other things. Thanks Chris,RobD.
June 2, 200422 yr Excellent work Robert :-)Duxford near finished also, had to add Fowlmere to the package.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/78641.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/78642.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/78643.jpg:-wave agtim
June 3, 200422 yr Wow! some new models there too. I look forward to this package being posted. Your IOW packages are still probably the most amazing packages ever made - complete relandscaping, new models, and then the package on top. I don't think anyone else has had to do all of this!RobD.
June 3, 200422 yr Thanks Robert,Yes this is a lot of work and need time to do it but is fun also. The relandscaping by painting an elevation map is gone for ever now.Using the new SRTM Elevation data you have the same quality but all the UKS elevation has to be downloaded and rebuilt.Tests using Switzerland elevation was excellent with a real 30m grid adapted to our 64m grid of FU3. :-wave agtim
