May 7, 200224 yr Hello,Being totally new to it, I am considering improving my FS2002 flight sim skills by buying/using RC2.2 . So here are some questions:-1- would-it be better to wait for RC3 late this year?-2- is RC2.2 coming with different languages? French?-3- is RC2.2 talking with FSMeteo?-4- how does RC2.2 (or will RC3) compare to "Captain Speaking 2002"?-5- how long does-it take to get used to RC2.2 when stating from zero (but being serious and reading manuals)?-6- is there any manual / tutorial included with RC2.2?Many thks et..bien amicalement a tousMichelKSEA

So here are >some questions: >-1- would-it be better to wait for RC3 late this year?you would have to answer that. is fs2002 atc good enough? you will not have to pay full price for version 3, if you buy 2.2 now>-2- is RC2.2 coming with different languages? French? no, english only. if you and bunch of friends want to record the scripts in french, you can have french>-3- is RC2.2 talking with FSMeteo? we don't talk to meteo directly in version 2.2 - but if you want to know whether v2.2 sees the same weather as fsmeteo does, then the answer is yes. and as a side benefit, if you enter your arrival airport in fsmeteo, rcv2.2 will see the arrival airport's weather about 60 miles from the airport, and make runway decisions based on the arrival airports weather>-4- how does RC2.2 (or will RC3) compare to "Captain >Speaking 2002"? i don't know, what does captain speaking do?>-5- how long does-it take to get used to RC2.2 when stating >from zero (but being serious and reading manuals)? you can start now, without having to spend a cent. go to our web page, click on samples. download and install the samples, and read each sample's documentation, and fly each sample adventure. you will get a real good feel for radar contact, and be trained on rc before you spend a dime>-6- is there any manual / tutorial included with RC2.2? everything you need to know is at www.flightsimmers.net/~radarcontact, and click on support>>Many thks et..bien amicalement a tous >>Michel >KSEA JD Read my blog
May 7, 200224 yr >i don't know, what does captain speaking do? According to their ads, Captain Speaking comes with "a unique set of 37 flexible airline flights using authentic ATC ... In addition, there are three sets of 12 adventure flights that can be purchased online to expand Captain Speaking 2002 even further." The obvious difference is that there is no limit to the number of different flights in RC, since it creates adventures from the user's flight plans.

May 9, 200224 yr Hi Michel, Use the link in my signature. JD had to change the host. RC works well with the addons you mention. The only thing difference os that RC's "co-pilot" cannot fly the plane for you if you're using thier FMC. The co-pilot can handle the Comms for you tho... :-)Best, Robsorry, somehow i haven't made my signature work right!!! the link to RC is www.jdtllc.com

http://avsim.com/flightdeck/images/Radar_small.gifBeta tester for [link:www.jdtllc.com] the premier ATC adventure add-on for FS
