Reporting as Ordered...

One of my complaints with RC has been my total ineptitude when it comes to installing a program that has more than three steps. John and Doug were quite familiar with that complaint, and of course, heard plaintive crys and knashing of teeth for far too long from yours truly - in fact, I suspect that any correspondance from me seen in their email box elicited a comment like "Oh god, here we go again". My complaint was about MY ineptitude; not RC. Let's make that clear.Anyway... to cut this short... Prior to the 2002 Convention and Exhibition, John and Doug promised me (okay, well, they hinted) that they would come up with an Allensworth-proof installation method for, guess who? Allensworth. I think they refered to it as the "idiots methodology for installing and launching RC", or, more succinctly; "The Allensworth Solution".Well, I am here to report (am I allowed to let this cat outta da bag???), Version XXXX installs great! One button push, and viola! You now have RC. :-lolI am quite sure that y'all will see this in version 3.0.Good job guys! Now if I can just get that key thingy, I am all set! :)

the key is on the way. you're almost there.now you are approaching the rough waters ahead, no documentation. i have a crack team of individuals writing the documentation. i have heard loud and clear that i don't know how to write documentation, so i'm letting the professionals write it.let them take the blame next time ;-)feel free to post your questions here, we'll help you along. even though we don't have documentation at the moment, we all know something about the program :-lol

John, Rick sent me the key within a smoke's worth of time. Had it in and running within 3 minutes. Did a departure from KLAX to KDFW and like what I see! Works great so far, and I am sure when I spend a couple of hours on it, I will have a ton of questions. You need to get in touch with [email protected] so we can get a review going as soon as you are ready (hint). What documents? You mean there weren't any in the CD? Dang, caught out again. :-lol

if you tell me where i can ftp 372mb, i'll send you all the chatter :-)

Tom, If all you've done is run front-end v3 and you're pleased, you'll flip over the back-end! Countless combinations and possibilities for any flight. Though it's hidden, v3 is very strong in the "Practice Approach" category (that's what I'm most proud of ). Couple that with Es, Alternates and Change of Destination... funfunfun . Maury will hear from us soon.Doug

All these key strokes and no manual to NOT read. >> :-lolI guess I will have to do more than take off, heh?Good job guys.

keystrokes?like 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 0here are a few morectrl-shift-k gives the comms to the co-pilotctrl-shift-m gives the plane to the co-pilotthose were the same in all the previous versions of rc

Except now you can change ALL the keys from the interface options/customize RC keys function. Yet another huge plus. Now we'll see how Allensproof it all is. ;-) (A new word, and you got it here first)JD and Doug already know it's not Scott-proof the way I can figure out how to break it! :-lol But then I can also break air.

>>if you tell me where i can ftp 372mbI got gigs of space if you want it?!

Hi Tom, I really enjoyed meeting you and the Avsim staff during the 2002 Avsim Convention at Lake Tahoe. (shameless plug for the convention .) I tagged along with John and Doug to keep them out of trouble. ;-) Once you get into the air and contact departure (key press 1 when the Dep menu appears), try handing the comms and plane to Juliana (our co-pilot) and let here fly your flight plan. You'll get to see the various menus and how your aircraft reacts to RC's ATC. You can also make various requests from the menus and the co-pilot will handle them all. :-)Have fun with RC,Best regards, Rob Abernathy

http://avsim.com/flightdeck/images/Radar_small.gifBeta tester for http://www.jdtllc.com' target="_blank">Radar Contact] the premier ATC adventure add-on for FS
