RCV3 and FSMeteo 5.2

Featured Replies

jd,I've read that FSMeteo 5.2 is a "recommended" addition for RCV3. Can you expand on what 5.2 gives us in RC over 5.1? Is 5.1 fully compatible?I ask only because my year of free upgrades is up from Marc and I'm trying to decide on pitching in for another year, just keep using 5.1, or go for another weather program. marc an i worked on several enhancements that are meaningful only to rcv3 users.while inflight, and you do a change of destination, fs meteo is alerted to that fact by rc, and the destination airport is changed to the airport you changed to.same thing for your alternates. if you miss approach, and decide to go to one of your alternates, the destination airport is changed to the alternate you chose.i know a lot of people who are liking active sky. check them out too.that statement simply reflects that fs meteo has been around for a long time, most of my beta testers use it, and that is what we test with.

Does Meteo know what your original destination is when you start RC? I've always told Meteo what my destination will be, but this will be one less step if it does it automatically. :)

If that is the main enhancement, I would rather save my money and update the destination manually with an alt-tab back to desktop

GiZBUG,I don't know what Marc charges for his updates, but as a fellow flight simmer who has contributed so much to the community, Marc has enchnaced FSMeteo to work just flawless with RCv3. FSMeteo 5.2 was used by all of us at Radar Contact and we can all attest to its interactions with Radar Contact.I also worked with Marc on FSMeteo's development, he spends a lot of time making sure this weather generation program remains "state of the art". I think the very small amount of "pennies" that Marc asked for his "upgrades" is very small for the improvements he continues to add to his excellent program. IMOHBob Johnson

What you have to pay for that update? I got mine from 5.1 to 5.2 without having to pay anything. So, I got the FSmeteo update as soon as it was ready. You probably know when that was, right? Ok, was 5.2 just as it was released already so full working with RC as it seems to be here right now these days? Or do I have to ask him again for an updated file? Is the FSMeteo 5.1 of first release the same as the one you get after paying for it today?

TAH,FSMeteo 5.2 should have been sent to you via Marc's email distribution. If you have 5.2 now it is the latest version and Marc does not distribute 5.1 anymore for new installations.CheersBob Johnson
