Sound problems

Featured Replies

I am having sound problems using RCv3. The .wav sounds for the pilot and controllers start to clip after a few minutes into the ground clearance process and gets worse throughout the flight. I am using FS2k2Pro, and ActiveSky 1.5. I'm also running in full screen mode (though it also happens in window mode) with WindowsXP Pro, Geforce 3 Ti 200, 512mb RAM, 1GHz P3, and SoundBlaster Live! Value sound card.Is anyone else having sound problems of any kind? Also the clipping sound goes away when I use the outside view. This happens with any plane, including the stock Cessna. Thanks,

Ken,What do you have your Maximum Wav Simultaneous Playback set to? It should be in AudioHQ/Device Controls under the Programs/Creative/Sound Blaster Live start menu. Set it to 6 or higher if it's lower than that. See if that helps.

have you tried increasing the number of simultaneous wavs you can play? (usually found on the drivers settings)

Thanks for the quick reply JD & Scott. You guys rock!I have not tried any setting with the SoundBlaster card because I have allowed the various operating systems to automatically configure it. I usually don't install the software for the card because it seems to work well with my OS. I can no longer find the CD from Creative so I am downloading the files from them right now. The download speed is averaging 8.65 KB/Sec for a 25mb file. Ouch! I will have quite a wait. I will install and see what happens after that. I will keep you posted. Thanks,

JD, Scott I think I know what is wrong with my sound drivers. I am one of the smart aasses who installed the 9.x Direct X beta files. I have several computers on which I routinely rebuild the OS so installing this beta was not an issue. I am in the process of re-installing the OS now. I am pretty sure that this is where my sound problem is comming from. Sorry to waste your valuable time. I'll report back on my findings. Thanks,
