December 14, 200223 yr Hi,RC 3 is brillient well done to all involved with the project, it was worth the wait. Just a quick one ref the above subject. I set the flight plan with FSNAV and used a SID out of Heathrow on a flight to OSAP. I fly a PSS Arbus A320 and built into the departure procedures are altitude constraints of 3000 ft and 5000ft. I ticked the box to use departure proceedures but I was cleared to FL150 as soon as I was established on the SID ignoring the constraints. Is there anyway to stop RC ignoring the contraints.MikeBritish Airways Virtual Senior first officer

December 14, 200223 yr Mike,Glad you're enjoying RC3. I'm curious as to why you want to stick to altitude constraints when your real-world counterparts do everything they can to avoid it. Any self-respecting Senior First Officer (and his/her captain) in "British Airways - The Real Thing" would be absolutely delighted with a clearance straight to FL150 and, conversely, would be most hacked-off to be held down at 3 and 5! Now, it's your sim and you can fly it any way you please but it does seem a little strange to me to use an ATC add-on and then to stop it doing its job. In and out of Heathrow, where you were flying, ATC will climb aircraft above SID levels, vector off the SID and STAR, remove the speed limits etc., as the situation requires - that's what it's there for. So, forget what's in the FMC and let RC3 take control as is done for real.Incidentally, what SID were you using - off the top of my head, I can't think of one that has stop-offs at 3000 and 5000?All the bestPete
December 14, 200223 yr All Right!!! Spoken like the true controller you are Sir. We and the pilots hate leveling off the aircraft on dept climbs. Even off KORD it is not unusual to get an unrestricted climb to FL230 departing to the South.Larryhttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/RCbeta.jpg
