help increasing voice speed in wn xp pro

Featured Replies

I just got a new computer with win xp pro.I don't understand Ray Proudfoot's explanation on how to speed up the voices.I do what he says but it tells me I have an invalid path.RC 3 is in program files.I did it with my old unit with win me.Do I need PRC View?I typed in start/ABOVENORMAL c:radarcontact3rcv3.exe.Also,there was an explanation a few months back on how to eliminate some of the controllers voices if you are only flying in the US.Can someone steer me to that also? Thanks,Ron

copy and paste exactly what the commandline is.start/ABOVENORMAL c:radarcontact3rcv3.exe is definately incorrect for a number of reasonsit should be%comspec% /C "start /ABOVENORMAL E:RadarContact3rcv3.exe"if e:radarcontact3rcv3.exe is not your path, tell me what your path is too.

I tried your solution above, but it did not work. My Radar Contact directory is c:Program FilesRCV30RC3.exe. When I try that I get an error message "Windows cannot find c:Program. Make sure you typed the name correctly..."Could this path be too long for DOS to locate? Any ideas? (I am using Win XP Home)Thanks.Sorry. Looked back at JD response which solved the problem...see below:%comspec% /C start /ABOVENORMAL C:Progra~1rcv30rcv3.exeThanks JD.
