March 28, 200323 yr First off, I love the program, the support and the whole ball of wax (still trying to get the wax out of the HD) :-)But anyway, I was wondering why RC defaults to the ILS runway, then winds?? I would think that RC knows the WX, therefore (IF) the wx is below a certain level (THEN) ILS (ELSE) WIND RUNWAYYes, I know that I can request it but it is more a question on the line of thought with this.thanks CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
March 28, 200323 yr Commercial Member we always preferred an ils approach to a non precision approach, and it has remained that way through 1.x, 2.x and 3.xit's the default. and in 3.x, you can overrided it with any type of approach you might want.jd JD Read my blog
March 29, 200323 yr Author ya, I know you can override it, also its clear that it is your preference (it is the default as you say). I was just wondering why it is your preference to have the ILS dictate over all conditions of winds and weather? Again, not upset or anything, just curious. March 29, 200323 yr Mike,If I can recall way back when, it is mainly because the airport, not to mention the runway, in FS is so bloomin' hard to see. So with RC taking you out 25 miles to final (for jets), it is just easier to line up. I agree that with props and TP's it would be better if wind take precedence.
