Impossible to load saved flight.

Featured Replies

With my old PC (500 Mhz, 10 GB, 128 MB RAM, 3DFX video card, Windows 98 SE), I never had any problem with RC, and all saved flights loaded again without any problem.Recently, I bought a new much more performant PC (>2GHz, 80 GB, 512 MB RAM, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro video card, Windows XP Home) and I installed FS 2002, as well as Radar Contact (v31), NAV and ActiveSky wxRE. So far so good, the sim really works fine, much more faster (higher framerates) and is much better in all aspects than before. But, trying to load a saved flight in RC did not work at all. It stops with the message "Loading FS state", and the only way to go on is to use CRTL-Alt-Del.I remember having seen some posts stating the same problem, but I am not aware if a solution to it has been mentioned.Does anyone has a solution or a way around for this issue? Thanks on beforehand,Luc Ballet.

did you reinstall fs2002 on your new machine? or did you simply copy it from a backup?if you copied the files, there is no registry entry for the fs2002 paththat would be a problemalso, if the save file is xyz.dat, you will have to have xyz.flt and xyz.wx in the flightsmyflts directoryif you still can't find the problem, send me the .dat, .flt and .wx and i'll try itjd
