December 21, 200520 yr Just to confirm that the problem encountered on takeoff roll with RC4 and FDC3 has been fixed in the Flight Deck Companion update to v3.1The two programs are now fully compatible. To get the key assignments working correctly it is recommended that you load RC before loading FDC. They make an excellent combination (provided you avoid shared hot keys!).Thanks to Dave March for sorting this issue so quickly. All the best,John
December 21, 200520 yr Just one thing to add to John's note folks, don't forget FDC's hotkeys are completely configurable to the point of deactivating them individually if required. It comes with many default hotkeys but quite honestly you probably only need a few of them.CheersDave MarchEmail:[email protected] Website:http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk
December 22, 200520 yr John my computer just locks up when I try to use them both. I have the latest FDC 3.1 update and I still have performance problems. I use FSAutoStart before running FS9 and as long as I don't load up FDC my sim runs fine with PMDG's 737NG, ASV, and RCv4 running altogether... December 22, 200520 yr Author Hi Dillon,Sorry, a few questions to try and pin it down.Does this happen at some particular moment in the flight (like the problem with FDC3 when the copilot called airspeed active)?Does it happen with FDC31 running without RC?Does it happen if you don't run FSAutostart first?Might be worth posting in the FDC forum as well. All the best,John
December 22, 200520 yr Please also confirm you are running FDC version 3.1, the version number is shown on the main menu screen. Some users were having problems installing the patch into the correct folder, subsequently you may still be running with version 3.0.Incidently the installer has been now been 'adjusted' to hopefully make it easier for future downloads.CheersDave MarchEmail:[email protected] Website:http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk
December 22, 200520 yr Author Thanks Dave,Of course, I hadn't thought of that. jd and Doug'll never give me a job in support ;-)All the best,John
December 22, 200520 yr Hey John,The sim actually comes to a crawl with both add-ons running... This problem occurs on the ramp before pushback as soon as I launch RCv4 after FDC 3.1 is already running.FS9 runs fine with either of the two add-ons running but never together and this is at the start of any flight.Whether I run FSAutostart or no the problem still occurs. Actually if I don't run FSAutostart FS9 will lock up as if it's out of memory to run the application.I'll post on FDC's forum about this once I verify the version number like what's suggested below...Thanks... December 22, 200520 yr Dave I've checked this but I'll check again. Can you post a screenshot of what I should see on he main menu of FDC before I push the 'Connect' button???Thanks... December 22, 200520 yr Author Hi DillonAt the top is FLIGHTDECK COMPANION in big writing (sorry I wasn't shouting!) and just beneath it in small writing should be Version 3.1.0All the best,John
December 22, 200520 yr I found the problem... :-)I didn't manually install the different folders and/or files from the 'Program Files' folder that was created within the FDC folder.I see the version number is 3.1.0 so I guess I'm all set. Thanks for the help... FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
