December 21, 200520 yr I wanted to a quick flt ftom klga to kpvd and when I asked for clr I was told to proceed to the "airport" instead of kpvd.Is this the case when the RC database does not recognize the airport codes ??I did not complete the flt because I was concerned the flt would never be instructed to follow the flt plan I filed, if RC did not know what or where KPVD is ...ThanksAndy
December 21, 200520 yr Hi Andy,I have that scenery, works okay here. Could be a problem with the flightplan. Could you post the contents of the flight plan then I can try and reproduce the problem (probably in the morning now, it's nearly midnight here in Scotland).Here's a very simple one ending at KPVD I just made with FSNav which you could compare yours with.[flightplan]title=KLGA to KPVDdescription=KLGA, KPVDtype=IFRroutetype=1cruising_altitude=11000departure_id=KLGA, N40* 46.63', W73* 52.21', +000022.97departure_position=13destination_id=KPVD, N41* 43.44', W71* 25.69', +000055.77departure_name=La Guardiadestination_name=Green Statewaypoint.0=KLGA, A, N40* 46.63', W73* 52.21', +000022.97,waypoint.1=PVD, V, N41* 43.46', W71* 25.78', +000000.00,waypoint.2=KPVD, A, N41* 43.44', W71* 25.69', +000055.77,All the best,John
December 22, 200520 yr I have made this with the FS enginge,FSNAV,using your flt plan and anything else you can think of and RC will not recognize KPVD.I use fsautostart,ASV,AISMOOTH and I have a unregistered version of FSUIPC.I have tried all of the above with and w/o all the apps running.RC flt plan window : KLGA to @17000 (Alt1- , Alt2-) / DUEYS.CMK.GREKI.NELIE.SWALO.PUT. *RVSMThis is using FSNAV notice kpvd does not show up .....Any suggestions ???ThanksAndy

December 22, 200520 yr Hi Andy,I think I found the problem. It's caused by a file called pvdrwyname.bgl in the Flight Simulator 9Addon SceneryFlightZone01_SCSecenery folder. As a work around at present if you disable this file before rebuilding the RC Scenery Database (running makerwys.exe) all should be well. You can do this by renaming it as pvdrwyname.bgx. Remember to change the name back after rebuilding the RC database.Let us know if this works. We'll look into a more permanent fix.All the best,John
December 22, 200520 yr John that did the trick !!! I am not going to ask how you found that but I can only assume you have a debugger that caught this issue.I really appreciate your help.Andy
December 22, 200520 yr Hi Andy,Glad it worked :-)There's nothing wrong with the file itself - according to Vauchez it's there so the ils's match up with the renamed runways (5R in the default scenery is now 5 and 5L is now a taxiway to reflect real world developments at the airport). Make sure you change the name back again before using the scenery or the ils's will be messed up I think. We're looking if we can make a change to the way we read the scenery files when building the database but it's one of those horrible situations, get this working and we probably break something else :-(All the best,John
