December 23, 200520 yr Never had RC3 and have had RC4 for about a week now, and for me the jury is still out.The ATC control in the air is a vast improvement from the stock FS ATC. But the Ground Control is almost non-exsistant! "Taxi from XX to runway XX, and hold short!" Or "taxi to gate XX" I don't think at O'Hare or LAX or JFK, they let the pilot make his own route to the gate/runway!!! FS ground had its faults, but was pretty good at defining your route and holding planes in your way. I just finished a flight from KSAN to KMHR in a Citation. I was told to taxi to runway 9 and hold short. I had to cross the active and did just as a 737 started his take-off. It was night couldn't tell, but nobody stopped me or him. He passed within a 100 feet over me! Too bad you couldn't find a way to use FS Ground with your Flight ATC.I also just thought of something. What is going to happen to all the cutom military AI flightplans I have with their custom callsigns. I'm betting I won't hear their name being called! Why if everyone else uses Edit Voice to change or add voices callsigns, names, etc., did you use something totally different, so that the only way to modify is by burning new sound cd's. Also at least for me, I would have liked a window opening up with communication options (likeFS), then disappears after selecting, instead of having to find a location on every panel for that ADVTEXT window.I really looked forward to this product, but to me add-ons that change the way you have to interact with the master program, should be made availiable as a try first, or have a short interactive demo, so people could see how it works, what it does, and what it does not do. Especially with a price tag of $44. I hope changes will be made to how ground traffic gets controlled. What will happen to those military ai flights that the callsigns don't match snything in your library?Rick
December 23, 200520 yr Hi Rick,As far as ground control is concerned you might like to experiment with using msatc alongside RC on the ground. See my message in the thread http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho..._id=14798&page=As for military ai, we have some military callsigns but it is anybodys guess how many or how few of your custom ones RC will recognise. We get the information used in the callsign from the atc airline= entry in the aircraft.cfg file.If that is found in our callsign database (c4.csv in the rc4/data folder) it will be voiced. With military planes this is often a 'generic' call sign so, for example, if atc airline=DUSTER, we play 'air force' as the call sign. All the best,John
