December 24, 200520 yr Sir,I keep getting a Run-time error 52: RadarContact.rcv4module.rcv4codemainIt always happens as soon as I try to get clearance delivery. I've tried several flight plans with ther same result. The only additional add-on I'm running is AS6.BradKELP/KBIF http://home.elp.rr.com/bmbanister/BannerSig_BMBanister.jpgAMD Athlon XP 2600, Asus A7V600, 1GB PC3200 DDR, NVidia 128MB GeForce 6800, SB Live
December 24, 200520 yr Commercial Member can you click debug, then load your flight plan, and do whatever you do before you click start. then start rc, and get your clearance.the error will be trapped, and i can figure out what the problem is.does the error come when the pilot is asking for clearance, or when clearance delivery is reading you your clearance?when you get the error, find the file rcv4.log file in the rcv4 directory (by default), zip it up, and send it to [email protected] JD Read my blog
December 24, 200520 yr Author Yes, Sir. I'll do that in the morning and send it to you. I have been trying different set-ups to see if I could figure it out myself and may have stumbled on to something. It appears only to give me the run-time 52 error if I have the "Display Text" option clicked on in the "Plane Information and Options Page". I successfully flew the first tutorial with it turned off, but when I tried it again it crashed. I also tried turning it on mid-flight, but it crashed then also. December 24, 200520 yr Author I sent you the E-mail you requested, but forgot to mention that it is when clearance delivery is reading that it crashes.BradKELP/KBIF http://home.elp.rr.com/bmbanister/BannerSig_BMBanister.jpgAMD Athlon XP 2600, Asus A7V600, 1GB PC3200 DDR, NVidia 128MB GeForce 6800, SB Live
December 24, 200520 yr Author I do now. Thanks again for the quick response and help.BradKELP/KBIF http://home.elp.rr.com/bmbanister/BannerSig_BMBanister.jpgAMD Athlon XP 2600, Asus A7V600, 1GB PC3200 DDR, NVidia 128MB GeForce 6800, SB Live
December 24, 200520 yr Author Sir,Just completed the same flight again with text on. Worked like a charm.Another quick question. During this test flight I got scolded for being above the altitude crossing restriction as soon as I was handed over from departure out of KGRK. Problem is that KGRK and KACT are only 48 miles apart so I was immediately under the 40 mile zone. Is there a setting to get around this if doing short hops? Many thanks again.Merry Christmas.BradKELP/KBIF http://home.elp.rr.com/bmbanister/BannerSig_BMBanister.jpgAMD Athlon XP 2600, Asus A7V600, 1GB PC3200 DDR, NVidia 128MB GeForce 6800, SB Live
December 25, 200520 yr Commercial Member those would be terminal enroute, and there shouldn't be a problem. what was your filed altitude? send me your .pln, and i'll have someone fly itjd JD Read my blog
December 25, 200520 yr Author Sir,It was the same plan I sent you with the rc4 logs. I can send it again if need be.BradKELP/KBIF http://home.elp.rr.com/bmbanister/BannerSig_BMBanister.jpgAMD Athlon XP 2600, Asus A7V600, 1GB PC3200 DDR, NVidia 128MB GeForce 6800, SB Live
December 25, 200520 yr Commercial Member tried it. yep. pretty unfair. i've passed it along to doug. you're right on the cusp of a tower enroute. your .pln is 83 miles. if it had been 80, it would have been tower enroute, and it would have worked perfectly.what planner did you use? the first checkpoints, are pretty badly located. causing a departure procedure condition, and a constant climbing turn just to try to progress fix01 and fix02try eliminating those two fixes, maybe that will bring you down to below 80 miles in length, and then it should work as a tower enroute without a problemjd JD Read my blog
December 25, 200520 yr Author Sir,I used FSNav. Those checkpoints are my doing I'm afraid. I tried to create the LAMPS2 SID for KGRK based off the plates. For runway 15 all it states is a climbing right turn heading 330 (to assigned altitude), to intercept and procede via LZZ R106 at 286. The checkponts were the only way I could make it go 330 then 286 rather than direct to LZZ.I've flown several more flights at different areas of the world without a hitch and am immensely enjoying your product. I really am quite ignorant of real aviation procedures and probably worse off after a year long exposure to only the FS9 default and what I "self taught". After reading your manual over the past three or four weeks and now using the program the past two days, I feel like I
