Here is my problem:1. Saved a flight in FS9 using Ctrl-Shift-;2. When I came back later to resume the flight, I used RCv4 "Load RCD" button, clicked on the saved RCD file in the browser window, RCv4 load progress meter (blue bar) went almost to the end and froze there.3. I could use other RCv4 buttons (e.g. check for updates) but FS9 was not responding and the load RCD file process never ended.I am using Win/XP french version.Any clues??A happy new year to all of you.Jacques LauzonMontreal, Canada

Jacques,Yeah, may be the fact that I missed important (incorrect) statements in the manual. Do you recall when creating the rcd, did you have the sim paused? If so, that's the problem. Do that no longer and all should work. Please help spread the word, and my appologies!

Jacques,If I understood it right, FS9 needs to be unpaused for RCv4 both to save and to read .rcd files. This has been missed in the manual, but the developers are already in the process of amending the documentation.

Hi Jacques,One thing I usually do. First load the saved flight in Flight Simulator, then load the .rcd in Radar Contact. Loading the .rcd will cause the saved flight to reload but it will do so a lot quicker. That may solve the problem.All the best,John

zip up the .rcd, .flt and .wx file - they should all have the same name, just different file types.i'll see what happens when i load it here.jd

Hi John,I think you hit the nail on the head with your suggestion.I was doing some tests with the "Pause on task switch" in FS9 since Alt-Tab to Radar Contact with this parameter set to Yes would put FS9 in a pause state before giving control to RCv4.Using your suggestion of loading the saved flight in FS beforehand works everytime with "Pause on task switch" set to either Yes or No, plus it loads the RCD faster as you mentionned.Thank you.Jacques LauzonMontreal, Canada
