the videos we had did not accurately portray what you would actually hear. we removed the links because people were being turned off by the video. once they had the product and used it, the reaction was opposite of what they had when watching the videos.we're in the processing of doing an audio only flight, and i'll make it available in the coming weeks.if users would like to comment on how atc and pilot sound, feel free to jump in here.jd

I have to agree that the video did not do RC4 justice - probably because of time the video had to compress the voice spacing and it sonded too much and too robotic.RC4 is great and the voices much more fluid that the video seemed to suggest.

I think the problem with videos/audio files that will attempt to showcase RC4 is that it's putting the spotlight on something that normally takes place in the background. I see it like adding a really good high-resolution mesh to your FS2004 install. You get an amazing level of accuracy in the landscape, but it reveals certain flaws like airport plateaus and causes occasional tearing where texture plates meet. Sure the stock mesh made everything nice and smooth with few visual artifacts, but the end result was horribly unrealistic when compared to a higher resolution mesh. It's the same thing with RC4; the voices aren't as smooth as stock FS2004, but most people find it perfectly acceptable in the sim. Why? When you're busy flying the plane the speech patterns are still acceptable for maintaining immersion into the experience. Add on top of that the whole laundry list of extra features RC4 gives you over the stock ATC, and it's really not a big trade-off at all. After flying with RC4 since early December, I think that if you are focusing on just the fluidity of the voices you are missing the big picture of what this add-on brings to the table.Eric
