RC V3.1 use with FS2002 and FS2004

Featured Replies

Hello JD & others,I am a registered user of RC V3.1 with FS2002.I recently got FS2004 as well which I installed additionally and now I want to use RC with FS2004 alternatively. I like to keep FS2002 runable as well. What do I have to do?Can I simply copy some RC stuff from FS2002 folders into FS2004 folders?Or do I have to reinstall the program a second time? Thanks for your advice.Regards,Guido Ostkamp

Hi Guido,You should just need a copy of FSUIPC in both your FS2002modules and your FS2004modules folders.RC will then work with whichever version of FS is running. All the best,John

just copy the latest fsuipc and advdisp into the fs2004modules directory.the same rc installation will run fine with both simulators, as long as fsuipc and advdisp are installed in both.of course you should upgrade to v4 :-)jd

Hello JD & others,>just copy the latest fsuipc and advdisp into the>fs2004modules directory.I tried to copy fsuipc from my FS2002 directory but on startup FS2004 said it was found incompatible and whether I really insist on trying. Then I downloaded and installed a new FSUIPC 3.53 from the link on your webpage. However, now when I try to run RCV3 (V3.01), the FSUIPC plugin says: "One or more programs you are using is not accredited fro access to an unregistered copy of FSUIPC ..." and in its logfile 72953 Client Application: "rcv3" (Id=1776) 72953 C:Programmercv30rcv3.exe 72953 Product="Radar Contact" 72953 Company="JDT LLC" 73094 Illegal write attempt: offset 4900, size 1 [P1776] 73094 ... Program or module not accredited for use with this unregistered FSUIPCIn the FSUIPC setup dialog there is a method to register an application, but I don't have the data and key for it.What shall I do now?Regards,Guido

Hi Guido,I'm guessing here (because I use the registered version of fsuipc), so if I'm wrong I'm sure jd'll have the answer!Look in your FS2002modules folder. If there is a file called FSUIPC.key copy it into your FS2004modules folder. All the best,John

Hi John,>I'm guessing here (because I use the registered version of>fsuipc), so if I'm wrong I'm sure jd'll have the answer!>>Look in your FS2002modules folder. If there is a file called>FSUIPC.key copy it into your FS2004modules folder.thanks for trying to help me. I did never need to register the fsuipc for FS2002, it worked out of the box with full features enabled even those not used by RadarContact. Thus there is no fsuipc.key file I could copy. I'll have to wait for JDs answer.Regards,Guido
