January 23, 200620 yr I loaded a flight plan into FS9 and RC4, and set everyting up as per the quick start (page 21 in the .pdf). When settimg to Adv Display I sized the window, docked it and finally selected "multi-line only", resulting in the Module/ADV Display pulldown having the check mark.I got clearance to taxi and noted that although I heard an increase in engine noise, that I wasn't moving in the cockpit view- followed a second later by crashing sounds- I was moving but my screen has a frozen image while in cockpit (forward) view, and while the Modules/ADV Display pulldown is checked. If I uncheck it, ADV display doesn't look so good (green bar with large red lettering), but I do see an outside view that moves. This may well be an ADV-display question (where is that support forum?). This is also a newly built PC, so that could be a factor too :). Video card is an nVidia 6600GT PCI-e.Thanks, Bruce.Edit:1. I am in windowed mode.2. While Explorer is in focus as I write this, I'm also seeing the Adv Display box at the top corner of the screen (FS9 is still running in background, check mark is present on the pull-down menu). Thanks, Bruce. January 23, 200620 yr Commercial Member do you have the latest nvidia drivers for your card?jd JD Read my blog
January 23, 200620 yr Author Thanks JD.I have the 77.77 drivers which are not the latest, but had reda hat the 8x.xx drivers didn't work well in FS9. maybe I should try them anyway. I did find that by moving ADV Display down to the bottom of the panel that everything above it works, just the screen below it is "frozen" (which was all the screen when AD was at the top left).Bruce. January 23, 200620 yr Commercial Member if you are running anti aliasing 8x, try changing it to 4xjd JD Read my blog
January 23, 200620 yr Author Hi JD,I'm running 4xAA, and 4xAF. AA is only enabled on the card, not FS9.I might try upgrading drivers and see what that will do, unless you have other ideas. Thanks for the good suport,Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
January 23, 200620 yr Author This maybe something- I note that it's only the default C172 panel that's affected like this (at least that's so far, I'm currently trying RC4 with both the LDS B763 and FT B733, and both are behaving well). I should try the other default panels and see if there's a pattern there I guss. Thanks, Bruce. ASEL, Instrument. KBJC, Colorado.
