did you set the .flt/.wx directory by clicking the button by the same name?

I've got a similar problem with saving. I am working through the tutorials, I'm on 2, KBNA-KMEM, page 162 of the manual. Followed the instructions and paused at 12m MKL, hit ; typed in the text clicked OK. Shut down RC, restarted RC, hit Load Previously Saved .RCDs and its not there.When I look in my documents/flight simulator files it's there, but without the .rcd extention.I read the replies in this thread and I'm a bit confused as to what the answer is - John said it won't save as an .rcd if FS is paused?Now I'm hanging in mid air, no RC plan - got to restart - but should I do the save using key ; before I pause the flight?regards,Graham WPS I'm using FS9 and RC4EDIT - Seems to work now both paused and unpaused - I reset the .flt/.wx path. Thought I had it set already I guess not.Don't kill me, I'm still learning:-roll
