May 15, 200620 yr Hi guys,Flew LH into EDDF last weekend, as I was passing about 13,000 feet in the descent, ATC vectored me through almost 180 degrees so I was flying AWAY from the airport with an instruction to resume own navigation at 11,000 feet. As I aproached 11,000 feet I was given vectors back to the airport anyway.UT traffic was moderate but not rush-hour at the time (about 0630 local time). I'm just wondering why RC would do this? May 16, 200620 yr Sounds like you missed a xing restriction Mark, whereby RC will point you somewhere else until you're at the assigned altitude.
May 16, 200620 yr Author Hi Doug, I wondered about that, except when I did this deliberately once I got chewed out by the controller, this time I did not get any comment besides the vector. Are some of the controllers nicer than others about this breach? :-) Mark Adeane - NZWN
May 16, 200620 yr Commercial Member nah, they are all the same. in the next point release, the missed crossing restriction is handled a little differently, but we'll talk about that later. JD Read my blog
