did you put the rcv4.exe into the rcv4 directory? is there a rcv3.dat file in your rcv4 directory?

JD:Yes, the rc4.exe is in my RC4 directory and there is indeed a rcv3.dat file in this directory as well. Do I need to copy to the other directory?

is there a shortcut you're double clicking somewhere pointing to another directory?what happens if you double click the rcv4.exe in the directory that has the rcv3.dat file in it?jd

problem is solved, and it's my mistake. Apparently I should retake that typeing class I took early in High School. The problem was telling RC4 where my FS9 directory was, on my system it's actually called Flight Simulator 9 and not FS9.
