May 2, 200719 yr I recently installed two new airport sceneries, "Fly-Tampa Seattle (KSEA)" and "Flightzone Portland (KPDX)". When I try to use RC4 with this flight ( in either direction), after I pick out the "flightplan" and OPEN it, either one or two things happens. In the flight plan, either the departing or the arriving airport is MISSING, i.e.____ to KPDX, or KSEA to ____. It should be like ,"KSEA to KPDX." Of course, in these cases you can NOT use RD4. JD informed me that a "ton" has been said about this problem, but in the (only) 4 pages listed in this forum, nothing is said as it must have been a while ago. Was a fix ever given for this problem? Thanks. jerrycwo4
May 2, 200719 yr Search this forum for KPDX and you'll find some fixes for Flightzone Portland. You will find instructions to apply this beta version of makerwys that provides a workaround for certain aspects of this and other sceneries using a certain design technique.http://fsuipc.simflight.com/beta/MakeRunways_Beta_398.zipIf you wish you can alternately apply a renaming fix as applied.
May 4, 200719 yr Author would you please explain what you mean by "apply a renaming fix" and how to do it? Thanks jerrycwo4
May 5, 200719 yr http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...pe=search#22275is the original thread. If you are using the makerwys.exe v398 as I linked you should not need to rename it. Here's the final post in that thread. RE: Possible problem with FlightScenery PortlandMon Feb-19-07 02:14 PMIn response to Reply # 20Hi there,The problems with KPDX and Rhode Island should no longer occur with the latest versions of makerwys.exe. I would suggest backing up your present version (found in the main FS folder) and try using the v3.98 beta available fromhttp://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=41519No renaming of files should be necessary. All the best,John
