I'm considering buying RC, but I have one question. I use AI traffic, will this traffic also be subject to RC atc?I saw that you have to turn the default ATC volume down - does that mean that AI planes will be subject to the default ATC and only my plane will use the RC ATC and its features?I was hoping that all traffic was using RC.

sorry, rc controls your plane, and talks to the ai planes. i know wheret they are going, whether they are climbing or descending, taking off and landing, so the chatter is appropriate to what they are doing.why would you want the ai controlled by me?jd

Hi WBB,It's suggested you switch off the default ATC sounds otherwise you may not clearly hear the RC instructions. ATC is still controlling the other aircraft unless they interfere with your aircraft in which case they're either frozen (when you take-off and land other ground aircraft are frozen but airborne ones aren't) or when a collision path is detected when airborne and they're steered away from you.Although we can't compel people to turn off the default ATC we do recommend they do so they can concentrate on RC commands.Hope that makes sense.

rc will talk to the other ai, as they are going through their motions. i just don't control them. i react to what they are doing, and "chat" with themjd

JD has answered the other bit. Don't switch ATC sound off - just lower the volume to zero in options. Switching off may cause atc.dll errors.Cheers,
