AI Traffic compatability

Featured Replies

I have been using the latest version of RC for about 2 weeks now and i have enjoyed this program immensley.I am running FS9 and ultimate traffic and various other add ons,I have completed about 12 domestic UK flights using aircraft such as lds 767 ,dash 8-300 and pmdg 737 . The only problem i have experienced is RC communicating with AI traffic,i have completed only about 3 flights were the RC atc communicates fully with AI traffic. Most of the flights that i have completed have been with RC communicating only with the aircraft that i am operating,i have seen plenty of AI traffic at the same level in the cruise and on TCAS and RC has not been communicating with them.I have rebuilt scenery several times and i am still having this communication problem with AI . HELP PLEASE

if you want to send me a .log while you are flying, and tell me what ai i should be talking to, and what you think should be saidkeep in mind a few things.i only talk to ai that are getting their clearance, when you are on clearance deliveries frequency. if they already have theirs, before you get yours, you won't hear theirsi only talk to ai that are taxiing out, when you are on ground frequency. if they have already been given taxi instructions, before you, you won't hear theirs.i only talk to ai that are on tower frequency that are taking off or landing on the runway you are going to take off or land on.i only talk to ai on departure frequency, when you are on departure frequency, and they are receiving instructions. if they already have them, you won't hear themin center, i only talk to ai that are on the same sector/center frequency and in the same stratum as you. you will hear me talk to new ai that are entering your sector/center/stratum, and to ai that are leaveing your sector/center/stratumi hope that clarifies things, and if you still think that something is wrong, make that log for me, and the list of callsigns that i should be talking tojd

I have a lot of PAI ai traffic installed. I have noticed since reinstalling FS9 that I do not hear any communications between RC and ai traffic on the ground. When I taxi to the hold short point and there are a few planes ahead of me, there is never any clearance for them to take off or anything, they just sit there....:( I finally have to turn off the traffic in FS and continue on. Is this an RC problem or something else? Not sure if this could be part of the problem, but I have had the ai chatter button unchecked for a while. jman214

Hi,<>That's the problem. RC will ignore them. Tick that option and things should behave normally. The manual is always a good reference when changing options. ;-)

Thanks Ray. Works fine now. Manual will be close at hand from now on...
