September 2, 200718 yr I just purchased Radar Contact V4.3 today (download version).I got the registration pretty quickly (less than an hour), however I cannot make it work.I pasted my key in the white field ad instructed and then hit the registration button. Then the programm closes as expected.But when I start it again, I still get the registration page instead of the working program.This seems to be a commun issue, however I am not able to fix that problem, it occurs every time I want to register.Can someone help me?... Maybe it's a key problem.Thanks you in advance.Geoff
September 2, 200718 yr Commercial Member is there a minus sign in front of the number, that you didn't send in?is this vista? if so, you have to run as administrator (right mouse click the .exe or the shortcut, then click run as administrator)if none of that helps, send a screen print of the registration screen and the keyboard.dat file to mejd JD Read my blog
September 3, 200718 yr Ok I just have the problem fixed.I forgot to include the minus in the mail. Now it's working perfectly and I was able to register.But that registration process really need to be changed, especially the "minus" issue.Otherwise great job, it's definitely the best ATC software for FS ever.Looking forward to the next version!Geoff
September 3, 200718 yr Commercial Member why? isn't a minus sign part of any number?if you had pressed the button that says "email registration information", the subject line of the email would have been properly formatted, the address would have been properly addressed, and the body of the email would have been perfectly formatted, with the minus sign, and the name seperated by exclamation marks.it's when emails are sent that say hi, i'm john dekker. i just bought radar contact, and need a key. my product id is 123344444and the subject line is blankthe program that generates the key, says - huh? can't do that.then i have to get manually involved, at all hours of the day and night, to edit the email to be in proper format.in v5, i won't even display the product id, until you press the button to email the information, so i can be assured that i have a better chance of getting a properly formatted key request.jd JD Read my blog
September 4, 200718 yr I am having the same problem. just got my registration number copy and pasted it in, it closed and when I started it back it was to the registration page. I run Vista and run it in Admin mode. I didn't have a minus in fron of my number.Thanks
