  1. JD,well yes, in this area I guess it is spanish as well as portugees what both sounds alike. Which center name is missing I already stated above. That is exactly the name FSNAV shows me and the right frequency.I can check if Lisboa Control is the only one but don't you know better than me? I am just a simmer not a trained controler like you are.>editing airspace.csv isn't going to get chatter in portugal.>what is the center name that is missing chatter? lisbon?>>any other centers in portugal?>>is it realistic to hear spanish chatter in portugal centers?>>jd

  2. JD, Scott,I guess there is a link missing...I am just flying from LPMA to LEMD with PMDG 737 at 370. After I was clear I got center "Lisboa Control" and my FSNAV tells me it is LPPC at 136.02 and in the ADV Display there is the next waypoint with distance and heading but the freq is zero "0" and I hear none chatter at all. I am NOT within spain area but in portugal! But I would love to hear spanish chatter here....Now I am in Madrid Control ATC Center and I have the spanish chatter again. But NOT within LPPC space!

  3. JD,I will fly the toure again. But now there is at 19:15h Zulu the TV-Serie 24h season 2 comming up - I don't wanna miss that one!Generall the question: Why are there so many countries without chatter files in there directories??? especialy in Europe there are about none except spain and UK and some others...

  4. JD,here is the flightplan. You may try yourself and find out that there is about none chatter.[flightplan]title=LEMD to LPMAdescription=LEMD, LPMAtype=IFRroutetype=3cruising_altitude=35000departure_id=LEMD, N40* 28.18', W003* 33.45',+001998.00departure_position=15destination_id=LPMA, N32* 41.55', W016* 46.39',+000190.00departure_name=MADRID_BARAJASdestination_name=MADEIRAwaypoint.0=LEMD, A, N40* 28.18', W003* 33.45', +01998.00, waypoint.1=D139B, I, N40* 26.25', W003* 31.16', +02400.00, waypoint.2=D139H, I, N40* 22.14', W003* 26.00', +03500.00, waypoint.3=D196Y, I, N40* 09.44', W003* 28.21', +07000.00, waypoint.4=KAMPO, I, N39* 44.00', W004* 03.19', +09000.00, waypoint.5=MONTO, I, N39* 13.18', W004* 29.48', +20000.00, UN857waypoint.6=MOLIN, I, N39* 00.00', W004* 41.08', +24000.00, UN857waypoint.7=HIJ, V, N38* 30.29', W005* 05.58', +31000.00, UW990waypoint.8=OXACA, I, N37* 57.00', W006* 00.00', +35000.00, UN858waypoint.9=LEPES, I, N37* 09.55', W007* 11.30', +35000.00, UN747waypoint.10=MINTA, I, N37* 07.43', W007* 23.00', +35000.00, UN747waypoint.11=VFA, V, N37* 00.48', W007* 58.30', +35000.00, UN747waypoint.12=NARTA, I, N36* 03.22', W012* 33.28', +35000.00, UZ14waypoint.13=ROLAR, I, N34* 12.41', W015* 12.20', +35000.00, UZ14waypoint.14=LIDRO, I, N33* 40.02', W015* 56.58', +34000.00, waypoint.15=IRSAN, I, N33* 10.00', W016* 30.16', +15000.00, waypoint.16=FUNOR, I, N32* 52.01', W016* 38.07', +05000.00, waypoint.17=LPMA, A, N32* 41.55', W016* 46.39', +000000.00, rcv3.datLufthansa,luf,A321, 1 , 25 , 50 , 50 , 1000 , 8 , 0 , 6 , 1 , 1 , 1 , 0 , 1 , 0 , 1 , 0 , 200 , 1200 ,, 171 ,D:Dokumente und EinstellungenFS200xEigene DateienFlight Simulator FilesLEMD-LPMA.PLN 500 , 500 , 500If you wand, I can do the flight again, morethough I could catch the center freq. after configureing RC and tell you that one. 5. Hi,I was looking for real pilots or airline customers/passengers who could tell more what they experienced about this issue in real life...>Hi,>>I flew from EDDT to EHAM last night at FL260. Altitude orders>were FL150-FL230-FL260. Just before reaching FL150 I got>cleared to FL230 and just before reaching FL230 I got cleared>to FL260 so it felt like a continuous climb to me...>>Also: in the US FL180 is standard transition level whereas in>Europe every country/airport has its own. EDDT transition alt>is 6000, EHAM transition alt is 3000. You may want to take a>look at the transition levels and enter those in the>controller options.>>Normally I leave the transition level at 18000 and get>clearance to climb initially to "six thousend". When I put>6000 as the trans.level for my departing airport, I get>cleared to "Flight level six zero">>I fly the PSS Airbus A3XX. When entering the flightplan in the>'FMC', the transition altitudes for the derarture and arrival>are displayed and programmed into the flightplan. Otherwise>you have to take a look at the SID and STAR plates...>>

  6. JD,please implement a option in RC4 for none-US airspace: Option if stratum transition like in the US or straight otherwise as far as no AI conflict comes up.In Germany I never experienced any level-off at one stratum. Ones of now 6 times within last 4 years the pilot told us passengers that he has to stay at a lower Flightlevel because of the bad weather. Either he saw it on Weather Radar and reacted or the last Weather call made up his planning just befor starting the flight...Maybe other RC customers outside US can tell you how it is??? You probably wand to look out how it is handled outside, because RC has to work everywhere, right?

  7. JD,you do not know the eurpoean ATC rules? Not even the differencies? So what would you do if someone could tell you about that how it gets handled here? Would you implement these in RC4?>not sure if the concept of low, high, and super high>controller's exist in europe. but in the us, you have to>switch from one controller to the next as you leave one>stratum and go to the next one. that is one reason.>>the other reason, again at least in the us, you may be delayed>at one flight level for many different reasons. i'm simply>simulating that reality>>jd

  8. JD,well, why not hang with the Bestseller as F1 UT is? An even better idea is that there is a tool to disasemble the traffic.bgl, right? Why not implement a function the user can choose that RC automaticly runs ones the disasemble tool and now has this database. Now when I select and activate a flightplan, RC4 scannes through this database and has all info up-to-date.Ok, your way is way more flexible and will do it as well, if it is working as good as with a AI database in the test-phase.RC4 will know the type of the AI around it in critical distance zone and so will provide the best separation by vectoring both me and the AI. And you know which runway the AI will land and takeoff from. Just the Flightlevel problem remains...>couple of reasons. i would have to keep up with constant>updates from flight1, lago, and the other players in the ai>segment. and then there are the people that build their own>plans. it would be a support nightmare>>on the other hand, v4 knows what runway the ai planes are>landing and departing from, and v4 will choose those runways>above the "standard" rc runway selection criteria. even if it>makes no sense at all, v4 will use the runways the ai planes>are using

  9. Hi Chris, you should try Ultimate Traffic http://www.flight1.com/esd-products.asp?product=utrafficIf they didn't programm AI in your pref area right, tell them and they will correcting it, I am sure!UT from Flight1 is the way to go and do not blame RC 3.1 or 4.But.... JD, here is just a thought:what about you and Flight1 get into contact about AI? You as a controller have to know every flight and filed plan from any aircraft entering your controlled zone, right? With RC you have ALL of the world to controll. So why not have a database of all the AI flightplans to look at. When I file a plan you can look into the database and find any that would be around my trip and better know what is going on. With your next version 4 you are even able to vectore AI, ok. But when you know all AI by type via a Flight1 UT AI database, you can make even a better job of separate AI and me. And the is still the problem that RC vectores me for approach to a runway which is ok for weather etc. BUT somehow even with UT many AI are taking off from (as Example)18L when I get vectored landing at 36R and so I have to make a GA often at big airports. I know fsuipc helps FS9 to use the right runway when the weather wind demands for it. But somehow there is still a problem. Is it within the flightplans of AIs? Is it fsuipc? You know fsuips, but maybe you dont know the big bestseller UT from Flight1? You three should work together and solve all problems and enable better separation and vectoring ALL.Just a thought.>I don't presently own Radar Contact, but have been reading>the forums lately, and the idea of some ATC that knows whats>going on controlling AI caught my eye!>>So what I am wondering (or maybe its already implemented) Is>there anyway to force the AI traffic into doing an instrument>approach all the time? >>As an example, I fly alot of sim in the Hawaiian Islands, if>there is a westerly flow, the real approach is an LDA to 26L,>and sometimes they sidestep into 26R as well. Because the>conditions in the sim warrant a Visual approach, they send>them in right through the terrain to the North of Honolulu to>26R, and a straight in Visual 26L over the city... I figure if>you could force the IFR approach, it would kill these visual>through the terrain approaches and make it more realistic...>any thoughts?>>Thanks,>>Chris

  10. Hi JD,when I fly from EDDM to EDDH with a B733 (Ariane B733 and Panel) loaded with ACLoader latest version, using latest RC, I get restrictions flying to FL150, FL220, etc. untill I am at the altitude I wanna be and planned for. It is a short haul so I often stick with FL290 or FL310 or FL330.I often fly as a passenger the same route. I live in Munic and my parents in Hamburg Germany. I know exactly that NEVER the pilot leveled out at FL150 or between departure takeoff and the planned cruse altitude, he flys the plane in a straight path up to where he wanna get. To do so I have permanently tell RC Controller to let me fly to the next FL. I know my Ariane B733 has max vsi at 1800ft/min. in the autopilot section. But because I never fly 100% loaded, neither with 100% fuel, the Boeing does easily 2800ft/min. and when higher 2200ft/min. and between FL280 and FL330 I fly at 1800ft/min and 1600ft/min. I guess that is realistic.WHY does RC vetor me from one FL to the next with BIG pause between? Why not just tell me that I may pass through the controller spaces just by contacting the next controller or alike? If there would be traffic I have to be vectored around and that with changing altitudes and or staying at a FL than I would understand that. But I know there is not this much traffic up there between EDDM and EDDH and I know you still cannot vectore for separation. Why staying at Flightlevels when I am not yet up where I wanna be and filed in with my plan?

  11. Hi Sir jd,did I just learned that you are truly able to vectore me AND AI for separation in the next version 4 in FS9?So you did it again! You found ways to solve the problem and learned how to do it again! You are a tough guy, one who fight 'till you won! Respect!>yes, i am vectoring the ai planes to avoid conflicts. also>climbing or descending them when that makes sense>>jd

  12. Hi PMDG and all,I experienced a issue with landing - final approach. Somehow the B1900D is very jumpy and nervouse when just befor touchdown some feet above and bevor the numbers with full flaps it seems to get drawn down to the ground too fast and I have to throw in throttle again. It is not easy to get the right speed while at final.Could someone give me a alround tutorial about the final?

  13. jd,right exactly on the numbers! When someone can do it, it's YOU!You already did such a superb good job with what we all enjoy today and I know it will even get better and better faster then MS can ever do it!If Pete could give you this data about the type, than you just need a list of aircraft types and what the difference is. You come up with a factor for each type and this factor is the key by which you program RC to separate more or less by speed and vector.Let's see, a GA Cessna 172 would be type 1 and I could fly up to 0.5nm behind him without getting big hit of wake. A Beechjet would be type 2 for 0.75nm and a B717 or DC9 or alike would be type 3 with 1.25nm. A B737-200/900 would be type 4 with 2.25nm and as well all with about same size and engines like A319/320/321. A B757/B767 would be type 5 with 2,75nm and a B777/747 and A310/330/340 would be type 6 the greatest with 4nm separation.I guess better tables already exists by the FAA for all the separations. But make it easy and save, the less RC has to compute the data for all the AIs out there...If there are just GA, normal airliners and heavies, than you have 3 classes with 1.5, 2.5 and 4nm seperation distance between me and AI.Yes, please ask Pete about that, because I know you know it is importaint to get RC even more real! We all will love you and pay you for that for the next upgrade with this extra of realism!

  14. Ok,well, I thought to choose this res because I have my nvidia with this res for using both monitors. But actualy I fly in windowed mode...I have the latest nvidia chipset drivers installed and latest driver for all other hardware.I could change some sliders less than 90% and change the res. Will report if it helps.

  15. jd,it is up to Pete Dowson to provide you with a AI type within FS9 fsuipc. As his manual tells me it is basicly doable to provide you with this tcas data...I guess you agree that it is importaint to give you all doable data to be able to separate me and AI. You cannot vector AI but me. But you cannot do that when you dont know what type of AI is around me. Center iRL always knows what flys up there in the sky in there controle area to line up the approaching planes and give all a speed, a altitude and vector to separate for savety and line them up in a nice line for the approach controler, right?Well, but why dont you tell me to gain speed or to drop to a lower speed so I keep a always save distance to any AI for approach. Why not just suppose there are only B747 and I have to be min. 4nm away from them? To make me do that you have to tell me to fly faster or less fast etc.

  16. just the "noframes" doesnt work because you have a lot of switches and buttons at this frame. Where would they be without a displayed frame? They are not separated like the user interface of the JL2/4 radio control.Well, I hope and guess that when nthe FMC is ready from RealityXP, for all of there JL gauges separate controle buttons and switches should be offered as gauges, so we can build our own cockpit panels using defaut gauges AND RealityXP gauges...

  17. jd,what of these info gets send to you by fsuipc TCAS?atc_id=N123XXatc_id_color=0xffffffffatc_airline=CONTINENTALatc_flight_number=1000atc_parking_types=GATEatc_parking_codes=COAatc_heavy=0ui_manufacturer=Flight One AI Aircraftui_type=Boeing 737-900ui_variation=Continental AirlinesIf type+ is here Boeing 737-900 or Boeing 747-400, than you have all you need to make a good separation. You know the size and engine type of a B737-900 or a B747-400, right? The manual of fsuipc doesnt tell me more about what exactly of the aircraft.cfg is the type+ info... I see no "make" line anywhere...
