  1. Well, yes I am trying it out. I have printed it in total and try to set all according these ckecks in the tutorial. But english is not my native tongue... I have some problems in identifying the buttons and switshes at the panels. This is even more complex than the RfP B747-200!If you could provide such a support... please translate the manuals into German, Spain and French, because it is so complex.

  2. Hi,because any post at the PSS forum needs some time to get released, if ever, I seek here for help by other customers.I have managed to start the engines, that was tought. The manuals are huge, much more to read than the manuals of any other PSS releases. But when I am airborn, I push the right buttons of the autopilot --- end nothing happens but autothrottle works. Nothing else works. When I drive the trim manualy, the concorde is very very sensitiv with that and pitches a lot.I never piloted a concorde myself... So I dont know why the trim is so jumpy. But could someone tell me how to activate the autopilot, so that HDG select, altitude capture etc. works?

  4. I seem to have the same problem. The partition where I had RC3 installed to some weeks ago crashed. I had ro reformate... I installed RC3 again but at the same partition where FS9 runs. But I lost ofcourse all the extra files... My file numbers are very differently betrween these folders. Now, where do I get these missing files????Only my folder 1 has just 1030 files, all other have 1136 files.

  5. Hey, do your have the latest driver for your graphic card? Have you overclocked anything of your system? Any partition has less free space than 20%? Have you checked if you have uninstalled hardware driver still in your hardware profile in your hardware manager? Are your drives defragmented? Do you have all at C: or do you use different partitions for your system programms, FS9 etc.?Tell us more about your system, than you will likely get more help.

  6. grin... as a pc-technican for Windows 98, NT4, 2000, XP, MAC os9.x, MAC X.2 and SuSE 8.1 to 9.0 and as MultiMedia-Producer I realy know such little things...Yup, of course I have it as you wrote. I as well am able to tune with XSetup and wintune.Sorry, getting mad now. Not with you, but with WinXP and FS9... I guess I have to reinstall all over agaian and to be able to backup I have to buy a little new HDD for FS9.

  7. Hi,I have 62.1GB in use of FS9. That is the size FS9 and all its sub-directories have at my FS9 Partition.I have about ALL payware Scenery you can get, without the latest France and South-America/Mexico Sceneries. I have as well about ALL payware aircrafts for FS9 you can buy.I use UT and GA-Traffic, have converted many payware aircrafts for use as compressed GA-Traffic AI aircrafts.I have NO other partition which could backup these 62GB!!! I would need to buy a new harddrive for that, if I realy would go the way you wrote. What I can do is rename my installed FS9 directory, delete the microsoft entry within my registry and install FS9 again at the same partition. Patch it and move all my scenery over as well as all my aircrafts. But step by step and run FS9 after each to check if it still works. With all the scenery areas I created and all the aircrafts, panels and gauges, this way would need a week to be done!I patched alright FS9, but the problem still comes up as soon as I try to start FS9... I realy am going crazy now!

  8. Hi Sieffert, well, whatever I try doesnt help at all! As soon FS9 has detected the 4.CD and starts, it freezes with the known error message that I do not have enough memory. I regulary clean my IE and Firefox chaches and history and cookies. I have just cleaned other partitions, got rid of FS2k2 and made room to move real BIG video directories to this new created free space etc. But I didnt touch the FS9 Partition nor the WindowsXPpro Partition. Just cleaned up with cached files etc.I have run a FULL ScanDisk / CheckDisc over the FS9 partition, which is greather than 90GB! It took some hours! I have enough space for the page files as well as free space even with a 2GB page file. I tried to have a fixed one as well as letting XP do the management on its own. Nothing of that solved my problem. I am about chewing my wooden desk!!!Would it maybe solve it by running the new and latest FS9 patch???? There is even a german version out now and I already downloaded it. Can it destroy more than the problem size I already have? I probably am about installing FS9 new from scratch. THAT will need a looong time, many many hours ahead! I have sooo many aircrafts and scenery so that I fill up more than 70GB of HDD space!

  9. Hi all, since some days now I have this nice one!Every time I start FS9, it tells me right away that I have not enough memory, FS9 cannot start.BUT I have cleaned up my partitions, all have more than 20% free space, the one where FS9 and the one where WinXP is installed have both enough free HDD memory. My SWAP Page file is 1534MB in size fixed. What is the problem??? I have tooo many pay-addons to reinstall everything from scratch!Do you have any idea what the cause of this problem realy is and how to solve it?

  10. Dan,I can defrag all but the partition "G". When I analyse this one with diskeeper, it is splattered with red areas, so fragmented files all over the place. diskeeper tries to do it's work, but will fail after about an hour. All other partitions are ok, but they are huge, arent they? I have quite some HDD space... Well, why so many partitions? Not more than about 3 to 5 per physical harddrive. I do more than just fly with FS9 around. I am a PC-Technican and a MultiMedia-Producer. I digitalise analoge videos, cut and trim videos, do websites, graphics, whatever. So I need to separate all my different works and tasks because of savety and security reasons if I need to reinstall XP or have a virus or if a HDD brakes apart and fails... But now I run out of HDD space to make backup partition images with "ghost" or make one if a customer needs me to do so with a HDD from him/her.I know some about computers... I guess my WinXP partition (D:) is too small, I need to resize it, so that my SWAP PAGE FILE can be better managed by XP... And the one HDD with teh faulty partition needs to get replaced I guess. But these days I have not enough paying customers to have the money to buy a new harddrive.

  11. Word Not Allowed and Dan,same problem here... I run 1GB 2700 DDR RAM, have about all you can buy online and offline for FS9 and all is installed, lots of AI from UT and GA-Traffic with slider at 98%... But my pagefile goes WAY over 1GB SWAP MEM useage! Goes up to 1,6GB and more and at the end WinXP tells me to shut down FS9, because of too much memory use.Could it be that my HDDs partitions are too filled up?Have a look:http://www.t-a-h.com/t_a_h.gifBut I aint got the money to buy me a new bigger HDD... one partition realy makes me mad. Seems it has broken sectors and I even cannot defrag it using diskeeper pro for WinXP pro. After a while my PC freeze up and I can reset it using the reset button.I have a DVD+R burner. But I have not the space and room to store about more than another 100DVD backups!Any ideas???

  12. Well, I renamed the folders and copied them to a backup location. So I had a renamed FS9 (FQ:ProgrammeMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 91) and the fake re-installed FS9 (Q:ProgrammeMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9)after I solved which files were crewed, I renamed both back, so I had back a well working FS9 as befor.I backuped the hidden FS9 folder where the FS9.cfg is and moved the backuped directory back, so all will go as befor.Do I make any sense? English isnt my native, It is hard for me to write about these technical things in English. I'd rather write about that in German.

  13. Dan,well, I solved my problem. I renamed FS9, installed FS9 in same partition and looked what wich files were at a wrong location in the renamed FS9. Now after I corrected my problem, I renamed the FS9 directory AND as well the backuped hidden FS9 at my System directory.Somehow the reinstall screwed up so my ActiveCamera2004 wanna have the registry key again. Now I wonder what addons else gonna sit in my face when I wanna fly? Will all of my installed Dreamfleet aircrafts need attention again? FSD? CaptainSim? SSW? I did not changed the hardware in any way, just had to fake reinstall FS9... Didnt chance BIOS or WinXP system settings, but the FS9 registry was altered.Well, I located all of my landclass bgl's and moved them. My Scenery/landclass/Scenery folder is within the Scenery.cfg alright.Well, I had some scenery within USA I got as freeware out of flightsim.com They produced some memory leaking as well as my Alaska scenery I downloaded and installed out of FlightSim.com All of these I deactivated... wush, I got back my framerates realy high. They realy produced memory leaking and drop of framrates.

  14. Hi,I read a tip about that I should have all landclass files (LC*.BGL) removed to a separate scenery folder without a texture folder...Now what I did was searching for any LC*.bgl files and move them to the Scenery/Landclass folder. But now FS9 doesnt start anymore, tells me about it cannot open the FS9/Scenery folderNow, what does the scenery folder has to have? Could you write a list of the FS9 default files in the scenery folder?I probably moved the wrong files. But cannot find which one and from where I moved them in error.

  15. Well, I have not a 3D holographic display. So I cannot realy simulate VC at a 2D monitor. I had only money to buy a 15" TFT as a second monitor, goes with a 17" CRT as the primary. I have them together with nview in a horizontal pan, so I cannot use my stereo3D glasses here. As I understand, TrackIR senses the little mivements of your head, if you have this reflector somehwere at your head like at glasses or alike. But you still cannot pan your head around like in real live a pilot has to do, right? So what do you do? TrackIR, stereo3D glasses when you have just ONE CRT monitor... but I cannot use it like you do and pretend I could enjoy 3D VC at a 2D simulator hardware - that's what it still is!If I ever have a lot of money, I would go for buying a VR Helmet for about 1000 to 3000

  16. Hi,I have this big new scenery Manhattan. I had better framerates with overclocked AMD Barton 2500 than now with a bit overclocked AMD Barton 3200+ WHY???See my signe about my specs.I will attache my FS9.cfg, please have a look and post me tipps what do tune better. What I have not in my signe about my specs are that I have 5 HDDs, a IDE DVD+RW and a SCSI CDR running. One of the HDDs is a Maxtor UDMA 133, all other are running at UDMA 100. The Maxtor is connected with a PCI-RAID "Card Silicon Image SiL 0680 Ultra-133 Medley ATA Raid Controller"I get a fuzzy Pinnacle pro TV screen picture, when I access data at the RAID driven Harddrive. I am about to change this card to a better one.Do you need more info to help me?

  17. Scott, well that is a difference between a GAME and a SIMULATION, isn't it? If it should be called the later, the ATC and the Approach/Departure procedere should be just by the numbers, not just the easy way to programm it. Well, there are changes between FS8 to FS9 with ATC, Weather etc. But they wanna sell it as a game to the kids and as as simulation to the folks whom wanna train for PPL or alike. But well, what is realy complicated in flying? I could fly, you could, but could we fly in the same space others do like airliners and other GAs? Could WE do the right pattern and procedures and all that at with radio ATC in bad weather? NO, because FS9 doesnt give us the chance to learn and practice exactly this. Because M$ wand it to be a game for the kids and a little more near to a real simulation for all others. There is a need for a FS10 home and a FS10 professional version. The home one for the kids less expencive and with more eye candy and less complicated stuff. And the pro version for more money and more realistic simulations put in there. What do you think here? JD? Scott, and all others? What do WE wand, what would we play for? Pro or home version?
