    Hi Folks,these days somehow strange clouds are coming up. Please have a look and tell me what's wrong and if you know and have had the same problem, please tell me how to solve it.ok, I cannot add a picture here - I search and select the picture and click upload, but the forum doesn't show the attachment!

    Hi guys,I'm reading a lot about military aircrafts experiments... well, it happened that I am working for a automated vending mashine distributor in Europe. So we have these vending mashines all over the countries and especialy at Lufthansa sites. So for maintenance work ad new installations I am often at airports like Dusseldorf, (DUS) EDDD, Hamburg, EDDH and Frankfurt EDDF, working as near as reaching out to touch airplanes they maintain there in A, B or C Checks.So this way at one of my first days maintaining our vending mashines in Frankfurt, I was allowed to go up into a LH B747-400 and go see the cockpit. I have seen it only on photos or in FS9 PMDG. But in real it#s sooo small and you can even realy reach out and do the co-pilots job playing with switches and knobs...What was realy funny was once I happen to talk with one older master technicians, probably over 50 yo already about flying. He is a private pilot and kows much about the Lufthansa aircrafts. Pretty at the end of that talk he asked me if I am a pilot too! I told him that I only fly a simulator PC and that aviation is a knowledge hobby for me. He was stunned and impressed to hear that someone only flying a simulator without having a PPL can talk like a big one having so much knowledge about aviation!Unfortunately when you are in the security area of an airport, your not allowed to make photos of the aircrafts and surroundings. Ony of your own work. So I only sneeked some photos when nobody was watching. Nice hangar panorama with B757 in the new Airbus 380 Hangar 7 in Frankfurt. So I am looking forward to realy see a A380 sitting in that hangar for a Check....

    Hi,jep, it's sad they do no new scenery anymore. But where are the download files? Only some are working. Duo a HDD crash and loss of my BackUp CDs, I don't have the installer files anymore, but every serial no. Once I bought all of there sceneries, but have to install them all again.Can someone tell me where to download them? Or can someone upload them somewhere?Regards, Torben

    Hi,I have a weard graphic problem with the cloud texture since just a hour. First all was running perfect with FS9.1 Then I started a FS9.1 again and experienced strange clouds... I already copied all original cloud textures back into the FS9 texture folder, but when I start FS9 again this problem is still ongoing.See screenshot!What can cause that?I use latest driver for my Windows XP 64 SP3My hardware is: ASUS M3A78 MoBo, AMD X2 AM2 6000, NVidia 9600GT 1TB, 4GB RAM, Captivia 21" TFT 16:10 widescreen, BenQ 19" TFT 4:3, SAITEK Yoke and Trottle quadrant, CH-Peddals, G15 blue LED keyboard and about every ADDON payware you can get.Regards, Torben

    Hi,I have exact the same issue.Once I had ASX installed at my Vista home premium 32bit, but FSX was very slow. Now I bought new hardware and installed XP Pro 64 with FS9.1 and FSX, both are running like a dream smooth as silk! Now I come to love my new hardware and my two FS. I am installing all what I have to reinstall, like RC4.3, PMDG aircrafts etc. AND ASX in order to be able to update to ASA, 'cause I bought ASX first a half year ago, now I bought ASA as an upgrade uppon ASX.But I am unable to install ASX here at Win XP 64!!! I never befor had this issue with Error 1722! I got a licence for everything alright.Now I seek for some help here and read that there is no help?!?!?Regards, Torben Hadler

    Which one gives you the best FPS, Vista or XP? What percentage of your core does Vista use?
    Vista gives me around 2 to 3 fps at EGLL (third party pay-addon), just uses around 30% of any core and has BIG stutter, the AI are jumping, not taxiing around.XP pro 32bit gives me 3 to 5 fps at the same scenery, none stutter at all with the same performance settings and core 1 is constandly at or around 90 to 100% usage, core 2 is used by other stuff.

    The only "solution" I would recommend is defragging your harddrive. When installing a new OS and FS9, files are thrown all over the place. It is worse than I have seen in the past. You can download a free defragging software which maps where files are located. The Vista defragger does not show this mapping (probably on purpose as they don't want you to know how badly files are installed on a harddrive). If you have already defragged, then you're going to have to lower your FS9.cfg settings or, like you say, upgrade your hardware.Jim
    indeed, after installing Vista and all Applications etc. I simply forgot to run a usefull defrag software. (not windows own one). I wonder if these stutter will go away as soon as I have defragmented my vista partition and every other as well...Actualy right now I do not have the money to upgrade my hardware - I would have to go high and expensive, about 300

    Hi,I had to install my OS all new over again. So, I decided to install Vista home premium 32bit.I have a AMD X2 socket 939 with 2GHz for each core. 3GB DDR1 400MHz and a AGP Nvidia GF7600 with 512MB and 4 x SATA drives.Befor I had FS9.1 running at WinXP pro 32bit and it did not stutter, just had a performance of about 3 to 6 fps when being ground at a 3.party airport like GAP EDDH or alike with lots of AI, terrain etc. and ASA for real weather. Now ith Vista I have about the same fps performance, but with a lot of stutter - every AI a/c and moving airport objects does not move, it jumps from stutter to stutter throu the view, no matter which view I use.Is this because of Vista? Any solution besides of getting a new set of hardware?Regards, Torben

    Hi,when I start my vista and start the second Profile, where I disabled aero design and such, just use the classig theme, I get asked by ASA to enter a registration key! I requested a new and got it, entered it, but ASA does not like it.Why do I have to enter a new key anyway? I have installed ASA for every user, but at that time there was only one user account at my PC. I created a second profile for getting better FPS using the classic theme. So, why does the one key not work for my whole PC no matter which profile I use? When I start ASA being at the Vista Profile where I installed and activated ASA, it runs greate, does not ask for reactivation. When I swap over to the other profile and start ASA, I get asked to enter activation key! I do not get it!Regards, Torben Hadler

    Hello PMDG,you have not answered my E-Mails. I have bought the extended download options for both B747 Pax and Cargo Versions for FS9 and send you a e-mail requesting to reactivate my download links for those products.     Hi PMDG,I cannot go shopping at your Site, 'cause whatever I add to the shopping cart does not getting saved at your site, so it shows in the shopping cart for checkout.I always get the message: "Your Cart is Empty"ah, yes, I tried it with firefox and wit IE7, having the security setting to the lowest level there is, accepting every cooky.Please advice!Regards, Torben Hadler

    Hi,well, that would mean that I have to buy a nother SATA drive of 200GB, that where I already have 5 Sata hdds but only 4 connectors at my mainboard and no PCIe interface nor the money to buy another drive and a new computer, so I would be able to drive 6 SATA drives!I already enjoy having more than a TB of HDD space.Regards, Torben

    I solved this issue by backing up all my FS stuffs on to a secondary HD.Redundancy!

    Dan,if you would have so many addons as I have, there is no way of burning them all to DVDs. I have most of the bought addons burned, but now I cannot find every backup DVD anymore. The thing is, I have had them as well saved at a different HDD, but now both HDDs crashed.In already found the B737NG backups, but both versions for FS9 of the B747 are still missing.Hmm, it's just a download fare away between PMDG and me - why should I buy it a second time?It would be very kind of PMDG to reactivate the download link - I am about to buy the MD-11...I have every other aircraft PMDG ever created for FS...Regards, Torben Hadler

    I repurchased, then reminded myself to have safe backups of the installers. Seems like I always learn by experience.
