Well, AS2004 simulates wake real good! Well, it does that a bit too much with a cessna or a B733 acting wake like a B744, but still it is ok. I experienced what happens when closer than 4nm away in approach from an aircraft what approached befor me just a minute befor me...Please check out the AS2004 forum and there website, I guess you will like it and go for a try.So, if 1 to 4nm is too close for you in normal flight situation, and RC4 will take care about that, than that is perfect!But separation in approach space within airport area is as important - I had some wake experiences simulated and airports like KLAX, EDDF, EGLL .... well, it's crowded there... right?

Hi,did you read my sig?AS2004I get simulated wake alright. So, It may not be 100% perfect simulated, but realy close to it.4nm close is too close for ATC? Well, than it may be realy good that RC4 will take care about that. I had encounter about 1 to 4 nm away from me, but never realy close enought to endanger me, speaking of geting skin close to me. But ATC likes it much more fare away, and RC4 will do that, than that will be realy nice!

Well, I actualy use UT AI and GA-Traffic all at 99%. The only times I had a hairy situation with AI from time to time, was in approach to any airport with a lot of traffic... The spacing between AIs is too close to be squeesed within and so I get often wake turbolence.Maybe I dont have the often flown flightplans between point A and B like airlines have?I fly with PMDG B378NG quite often and get warnings about other aircrafts around me. But I never had a real close entcounter, never had my PMDG to act in order to prevent a crash - it got close sometimes, but never realy this close. But well, I dont often fly around KLAX where it can realy get close and crowded... as well as with EGLLWhat do you do to have it this realistic? I use UT and GA-Traffic... and my slider set to 99%....

Hi Scott,I wonder why that would be a need... I never had a close crash encounter with an AI... but when I wanted to get so close like with an F16...AI have always give me space and room, without FS9 ATC, but while flying with RC ATC... Have you had any realy close entcounters with AIs?

And why does this only happens when I am in range to tune in for weather ATIS south of EDDH? I was able to fly around Hamburg all day and takeing off from EDDH without RC and had none problem. If it would be a season crash, I should not be able to fly there at all at this date I set the same in FS9 for just flying around as I had as I flew from EDDM to EDDH.

The day I started this topic, I experienced my first CTD by ATC.dll around 40nm away from EDDH while RC OTTO requested a ATIS report.Never befor I had this problem. And I fly very often between EDDM to EDDH, these my two home towns.It is funny, but I see none cause for this sudden apearence at all. I didnt change anything within german area what could have caused this CTD.Befor I had FS9 ATIS report run in the background when RC OTTO tuned to get the weather report at EDDH. Suddenly I get this CDT!

So, if I understand this right, JD could now have a reason to do another update to get RC to tune on xxx.yyy digit frequencies, not xxx.yy The frequency database allows to edit a frequency to be xxx.yyy but it doesnt show in the RC interface screens.

wow,wait a sec.The normal FS9 freq is 123.125 not 123.120 But RC cannot tune in 123.125 So, you'r telling me that I should change what? I already changed this RCFrequ.csv (it opend using Excel) and changed it to 123.125 But it doesnt display in the RC screen where I can setup the flightplan and airport settings for this flight.What to do? And how do I disable the FS9 own ATC totaly?

Hi JD,I have this little nice problem recently. In my FS9, EDDH has the ATIS Freq. of 123.125 and NOT as in the SIMCharts 123.120Do you see the comming problme? I cannot tune RC to x.125, only to x.12 That is why RC crashed FS9 down to the desktop, pointing to a atc.dll problem if I wanna send this to M$!I tried to change the frequency within AFCAD2, but that did nothing, the CTD still comes exacty when my CoPilot Otto tunes to get weather from Hamburg Weather observation (ATIS).What can I do to make it work? I don't know why this didnt happen befor month befor... I often flew there befor!

Hi,I need some help.I chanced my graphiccard driver nvidia to the latest of www.guru3d.comNow my FS9 doesnt load any more. I see the start screen and than it drops back to desktop. No error message, nothin!I even erased the program entry within my registry and reinstalled FS9, after I renamed the old directory to .../fs9-old.So, did this happen to anyone here already? Can someone tell me how to get FS9 back to work?

well, that works only as long someone didnt installed his/her windows XP on a different partition and so gets another drive letter.You seem not to have a inbuild routine to check out where realy windows is installed and so where the user profile of windows and there under wich user pfile FS9 is installed.

Well, I dont believe it is up to how large my monitor is or they are...In a real aircraft I turn my head to look somewhere I cannot see just by moving my eyes around. In FS2k4 I either would have to have more than one or two monitors, like every window and part should have it's own monitor like the realy rich hard core simmers have. Or I should have a unpayable VR-Helmet and a cyberglove with wich I could do more than just with my mouse cursor.Until I can afford a nice VR-Helmet, I will use only 2D panels with airliner jets and enjoy the 3D of smaler aircrafts like GAs together with 2D panels.I cannot understand how Ariane can just build a 3D only cockpit when there is a lack in usability... It is too much fake, because I have to use more than just my mouse to interact in a 3D modeled cockpit with 2D only cabable monitors.

Hey guys,I have one main monitor (17" CRT) I use for viewing the 2D panels of aircrafts. I have a second monitor (15" TFT) to where I drag und drop navigational software addons like navigator, FMCs, GPS etc.Somehow I have bought some 3D VC only aircrafts, like PIC A320. I could not realy fly it, because I had to zoom in to read gauges, do things with FMC (MCDU) and up to play with overhead etc. When I had to move my view back to see forward, I had to zoom out again... All with ONE mouse cursor! Well I have my 360

Well, the latest B747 and B777 all have the Boeing NG Panel, like B737-600, -700, -800, -900, latest B757 and B767. So, to do a B767NG would be as easy as making an B777. Just model the aircraft etc. and than the VC, the 2D Panel is the same, except the FMC...

Well, as I said, I was very pleased that the CD arrived THAT soon! I know that a post package or a mail goes from some key points like O'Hare, Houston, NY directly to Frankfurt Germany EDDF and gets hand over to the german mail system over night. Than it takes one to two days to arrive at my address. So, take these 2 days here, the night in EDDF and the rest of the time is uppon the US Postal System.If I wanna have something real fast, I's like to choose DHL or UPS. They are both good, but DHL is better with little and medium packages and trys to deliver the next day if the reciepient isnt at the address at the delivery day and hour. UPS has a problem if no one answers the call or the door. And UPS is more expensive. I wonder why MAAM didnt let the customer choose the service between default US Mail Services, DHL or UPS etc. All the major big and good mail services. Sure the different systems would cause different costs. But some phl can handle the calculations online.I have experiences with this things. I do shop businuess and I was as well many times a customer in online shopping of hardware and software for my PC and other stuff. This all is in no means ment as negativ critism or flaming offence. Just some thoughts and ideas.

Hi Andreas,no offence taken, it's alright.Ah, I didnt have the time to post that Tuesday the MAAM CD arrived. I enjoyed the DC3 for about 3 hours now, is realy fun to fly. So, please make yourself as well enjoy it if you have the money for it. It is worth it!You are right, I do often write critism here. But when I see a product is great, I dont mind and write about that I like it. I am myself a MultiMedia Designer/Producer and I am often not satisfide in what I produced, I always wanna have it 120% BEST. Mostly 90% perfection in my eyes is about miracle perfect in the eyes/mindes of my customers. But I alsways wanna be better than I am already... i realy LOVE PMDGs Boeings, they are the BEST aircraft you can buy for FS9!!!!! And they have, together with Dreamfleet, the best customer support there is in this market!!!So, 5 days it took for the two mail services to deliver the MAAM CD, what is realy good! I know there where times, years ago, when they worked very lousy! But these days both should better not #### off there customers.So, you didnt mean any real offence, I didnt take any. You gave me the chance to write something positiv here, what I rarely do.

Hi,I ordered the CD or the latest DC3 at the 07-04-04. I live in Germany Munich. Did any one else from Germany ordered it and how long did it take it for the CD to arrive?I have not yet recieved the CD today. 5 days went by now. I don't know if it is normal these days to wait 5 to 8 days befor getting nervous, for the post mail service to deliver.
