  1. I made a complete reinstall of the FSX Version of FS2Crew for iFly 737NG. However, after the final public release Version 2 update, the Green Bar will not appear on the screen when you speak (tried to toggle with DSP button). Going back to the Public Beta 2 update, the Green Bar is back. Any idea why the Green Bar does not appear in final version 2 update? System: Win7 64bits FSX with IFly Feature Pack 3.1.1 Cheers, Bert
  2. Thanks, I think I am getting it now. I thought that verbal confirmation from PF also was needed for PM to rotate the Engine Fire Warning Switch. But that confirmation is obviously not needed. I understand that the word “Confirm” is added to the QRH checklist items when both crewmembers must verbally agree before action is taken. Cheers,
  3. Hi Bryan, My first flight with FS2Crew Emergency NGX was with an engine fire after takeoff. Great fun. I tried to follow the manual. However, I noticed that there seems to be parts missing in the manual after PM pulled the Engine Fire Switch? Those parts in QRH that start with: If the engine fire switch or eng overheat light stays illuminated. Cheers, Bert
  4. I suppose one could check with figures given in the FMC and in the aircraft.cfg-file.For 737-800 you will get the following:DOW (Basic weight plus crew and pantry) = 91300 lbsMax Cargo = 16400 lbsMax PAX = 30500 lbs (174 off)Max Fuel = 46057 lbsMax ZFW = 138200 lbsMax TakeOff Weight = 174700 lbsMax Landing Weight = 146300 (which I took from a SAS 7383 with MTOW of 165500 lbs, so I guess this MLW figure is acceptable in the simulation.)Cheers,Bert
  5. At last I found out why I had to put a copy of SimConnect.cfg in the ASE directory.Reason was that my "My Documents" folder had earlier been moved from an almost full disk C: to another disk.Could be of interest for someone who also had to free up a lot of room on the C: drive by moving "My Documents" folder. Cheers,Bert
  6. Hi Damian. The following is what I have found. First a quote from the SimConnect SDK Reference Document about SimConnect.cfg:"This file is only required if a client is going to access Flight Simulator running on a remote machine, and should be placed in the My Documents folder, or in the same folder as the client application or library, on the computer the client is running on." I followed your instructions and have the SimConnect.cfg file in C:\Documents and Settings\[uSERNAME]\My Documents\ on my Client PC (Windows XP Computer). On my Client PC, I also have a copy of FSX. When I start FSX on my Server PC (Windows 7) the only way to get the ASE to work properly in the networked configuration is to also put a copy of SimConnect.cfg in the ASE directory on the Client PC. Anyhow, I am happy that all seems to be working now and that I did not have to change anything in the Windows registry. Regards,Bert
  7. My setup is with FSX running on a Windows7 Computer and ASE on a Wndows XP Computer.I have followed the instructions in Networked Configuration For FSX, and managed to have the shares and SimConnect configuration set up. After start of FSX on the Server computer and testing with the AITraffic.exe program I noticed that I could only get the indication “Connected to Flight Simulator!” if I also put a copy of SimConnect.cfg in the same folder as the AITraffic.exe file.As this is not highlighted in the document, can someone confirm that this step is necessary for testing of proper networked simconnect configuration? Cheers,Bert
  8. For you who use ShortAircraftNameOK.I noticed that the Title in aircraft.cfg start with the word Boeing except for 737-800NGX WL where it start with the word PMDG. I trust that there is no particular reason for this and that it is safe to change to Boeing in order to get the same settings for AXIS, BUTTONS, KEYS and CALIBRATION in FSUIPC.Cheers,Bert
  9. Hi Bryan,Thanks for the comments.I missed the P/B REQ Switch, sorry. Now I get the answers from the ground crew.Regarding Wing Lights I thought FO in addition to switching on the Landing Lights also should switch on the lights that illuminate the main wings.Cheers,Bert
  10. Reference to the Ops Manual page 29 and page 38, I noticed the following discrepancies. I am running FS9 on Windows XP. Can someone please check and confirm.-If I do the pushback with the normal procedure ground will reply to my ”Thanks for the guidance”. However, if no pushback procedure is used there is no reply to my “We’re Ready” and “You can disconnect now”.-When descending and passing 10000 feet (or FL100 if above TL) FO will turn on the lower EICAS but will not turn on the wing lights.Cheers,Bert
  11. Hi Bryan,I am using FS9 on Windows XP and on almost every flight I got this dreadful repeating ”check, check, check…” during some part of the flight. It should be noticed that the “check, check, check…” according to the Green Bar is not coming from the FO but from the Captain??? I have yet not found a way to reproduce it but I wonder if some voice commands are mandatory and some are optional during each mode? As an example, before I say “Flaps 5” during Pre Taxi, do I have to say “Oil Quantity Confirmed”? This sentence has never been recognised by the speech recognition system (my fault I guess as English is not my native tongue), and the FO always question (“Are you sure?”) my Flaps 5 setting in the Before Takeoff Checklist, although it was set correctly.Cheers,Bert
  12. John- If you can undock and resize PMDG MD-11 in FSX without significant impact on the fps I think it should be ok for FS9. Thanks for the tip.Alex- Thanks for the screenshots. I will do some test with different settings, but first I need to consider what LCDs to buy.Came across this software http://www.kegetys.net/forum/index.php?topic=795.0Maybe something to try if one doesn
  13. Thank you for all the information.John- I also prefer to use VC mode in FS9 but occasionally during a flight you need to switch to 2D because all switches in the aircraft may not work in VC mode.My graphic card is an 8800GTX, which means that I will have one free output port if one is connected to TH2G. Can I use that port to get a 2D view on a separate display and have the VC view on the TH2G?Alex- Thanks for the detailed explanation. I wish I could find some screenshots somewhere that illustrates all your points. I have seen some videos on different setups from some cockpit builders site, but of course the resolution on those videos are not good enough to see horizon alignment in roll mode. As to your comment that outer monitors should be angled toward the pilot. I take it that this is for cockpit builders monitors with an outside view only. With the cockpit panel and in VC view the cockpit must look a bit strange with outer monitors 45 degrees to the main monitor. //Bert
  14. Having read about Matrox TripleHead2Go digital version I have the following questions.- Can I test this unit with my existing two monitors?- With a 3-monitor setup will the horizon line up properly (a straight line) when you bank the aircraft? - I understand you need to be in VC panel mode when using TripleHead2Go. All 2D panels will stretch horizontally and therefore cannot be used. Is there a fix for that? Perhaps someone familiar with this unit can give me an answer.Cheers,Bert
  15. Hi,No one here seems to have an updated Navigraph database. I searched the Feelthere support forum and I realize that the database was originally developed for other Feelthere aircrafts and the procedures (SIDs/STARs) do not seem to work for the Airbus series.I also noticed that Navigraph has now withdrawn their FMS Data service for the Wilco/Feelthere Airbus series. However, if you like me need the SIDs and STARs for online flying there is a workaround. If you use a flight-planning program, which has procedures and an export facility to FS9 (like FS Navigator or FlightSim Commander), you can then import the FS flightplan to the Airbus via the MCDU data page. Cheers,Bert
  16. Hi Bryan,I know that the nav database is not your responsibility. I thought that you should confirm that this scenario should work with the original nav database, and that the reason for this problem must be something else.I just could not believe that Wilco/Feelthere released the Airbus with a nav database that did not work.I realise that I can bye updated databases from Navigraph, but will that cure this problem? Perhaps someone who uses their latest database can confirm.Cheers,Bert
  17. Bryan,I just bought the CD version of the Airbus Series and your FS2Crew add-on.When following your tutorial I seem to have a problem when I program the KSFO Porte Three departure in the MCDU.I expected of course to see the departure according to the route description, but the first fix (after the runway heading fix) is WAGES!Do you have any ideas what is causing this? Do I need an updated version of the FMC database for this to work?Cheers,Bert
  18. In RC version 3.10 for holding to occur the final checkpoint has to be a VOR or VORTAC that is within 5 miles from the arrival airfield. Is that restriction still valid in version 4?Cheers,Bert
  19. Hi Bryan,For route planning purposes it would be nice to have more details about the SIDs, STARs and IAPs that are included in the Departure and Approach Briefing Pages. For example that EHAM-06 means ARNEM 1R departure from runway6, etc.FS2Crew for 737 did include a section in the manual on briefing codes, so may we ask for the same thing for the ATR?Cheers,Bert

  21. Two questions about this FO call.- Why does the FO need to inform the Flight Attendant that they are passing 10000 feet?- This PA is activated at 10000 feet for a Transition Altitude of 18000 as in US, but if you got say a Transition Altitude of 5000 feet and a QNH of 980 hPa, this PA is activated at an indicated height of about 11000 feet on the FO
  22. May I jump in on this thread because I tried what you said, but when I arm the autothrottle I got the PA telling the FA to be seated for departure. I also got

  24. Hi Nick,I think you found a workaround for something that has been a problem also for me when resetting a flight after takeoff.I did what you suggested, to briefly pulling the disconnect A/P switch before takeoff, and now I don
