  1. I can't get my game to load. Splash screen comes up then goes away and no game. Have tried all suggestions so far including disconnecting all usb devices. Any help would be appreciated if anyone having same problem. I have a high spec machine and can run train sim and euro fishing no problems.
  2. When i set my weather to low visibility below say 100000 ft and i fly at 300000 feet and above, there seems to be an area of about 5 square miles of poor visibility like a giant pixel when i fly in spot view. It seems to follow with the aircraft and looks very unrealistic. i have most options set to max including visible distance. Can anyone shed some light on my problem. ThanksKev Farrow.
  3. Thanks for your help. Everything working now.Kev.
  4. Just installed the jet line 2 gauges with the configuration files for the Beechcraft. Everything works ok except the Garmin500 won't show when i click on the GPS button.Kev Farrow.
  5. When i attempt a flight in FS2004 i'm struggling to control the aircrafts pitch movements. Im using a flight sim yoke by ch products and everything is set to default but when i try to descend in the cessna for instance, there is a slight delay then the aircraft takes a dive then when i pull up to stabalize it, it starts to climb. it seems very hard to make small changes in pitch even using trim. I've also noticed this with add on aircraft such as the PMDG 737 on autopilot, the aircraft bobs up and down to achieve altitude. Never noticed this problem with FS2002, could there be a problem with the handling in 2004 or have i set things up wrong. Any help would be appreciated.K Farrow.
  6. Thanks for all your help guys. Just out of interest, i was trying a take off and landing practice without the use of the FMC. I usually use the FMC programming routes and get no major problems.Lastly, what should i put in the load manager as a typical setting, because when i load passengers and some baggage fs2004 says i'm overweight!Kev Farrow
  7. A typical setting for me would be flaps 5, alt set at 4000, ias at 160, trim at default, a/t, f/d. I start to roll then press the TOGA switch and pull up at about 120 Knots. After gear up i watch as the plane climbs at a rate of 6300ft! Then unless i push down hard on the yoke the plane points up then falls out the sky. When it does behave it will overshoot to 4600ft then drop back down to 4000ft to level off and the speed will change to 180knots. I thought the plane should follow the director bars on the display even with the autopilot off. when plane is finally leveled off i set a 90 degree left or right turn using hdg sel with bank at 25 or 30. the aircraft then goes beyond assigned heading by about 4 degrees then slowly returns to assigned heading. Not sure if it's me or something else.Kev Farrow
  8. I've just reinstalled into FS2004 after applying the latest patch over the first patch and making a complete balls up of it. I used the uninstall utility and installed the base program and the latest SP1. All seems fine except for a few problems i'm having that i did'nt have before. When taxiing after a flight the aircraft keeps rolling and will only stop if brakes are applied to bring it to a halt. Even when throttles at idle it will keep rolling at whatever speed you want. Don't know if this is normal or not. When in the air using heading select the aircraft overshoots the heading by about 10 degrees and has to correct itself. The same goes for altitude. If i take off without the use of the FMC and set an altitude of say 4000ft it goes past to about 4500ft then descends down again to 4000ft.Any help would be appreciated.Kev Farrow
  9. Chaps, i think i Know what's wrong.I reinstalled the latest sp1 over the original sp1 and noticed that a message came up as it was instaling saying unable to update a certain file. (can't remember what. i think it was a gauge file or something) After i clicked ok the installer aborted without fully updating. After deleting then reinstaling the base package then the latest sp1 everything works fine.Looks like you might have to start from scratch.Kev Farrow
  10. Tried to do a start up from cold. Loaded cessna first then turned off the magnetos and red master switch. Loaded up the 737-700 and followed the procedure for startup. First right engine, then left by turning the ignition switch to GND then moving fuel cutoff switch to up. Left engine tries to startup but then cuts out and keeps repeating itself to startup. Could the Cessna be having a strange effect or am i missing something? Would really like to start this bird up from cold.Thanks.Kev Farrow
  11. Thanks. Not sure about the payload problem.Kev.
  12. When i instaled into fs2004 and run, i get a message saying incompatible aircraft file: PMDGOptions.DLL do you want to load this software?! Also when i select yes then load the aircraft the fuel and payload say i'mm 7062 pounds over gross weight! One last problem. when i accelerate from the runway the hydraulic pressure gauges turn red and i get a caution light. Just wondered what i've done wrong.Thanks.Kev.
