  1. I have created an afcad for a grass field but the FS default runways are showing. To hide these I tried using the following exclude but they still show. What am I doing wrong?GeorgeHere is the resulting screen shot:
  2. No, the UK AIP does not contain charts for Dunsfold. In fact, UKGA have only the location co-ordinates and a phone number see http://ukga.com/aerodrome/content.cfm?aero...&contentId=1795 and http://ukga.com/images/content/image1795.jpgGeorge
  3. GHD

    Aircraft ID

It's not the aircraft id which is used in flightplans, it is the AC# in the aircraft.txt file. The 'title' record in the cfg file is used in the aircraft.txt file to identify a particular aircraft.George
  4. Thanks Goran,I finally created a preliminary display flight. Here is a Nimrod at the RIAT Fairford show of 2003. The texture needs to have the wire aerial removed but it's coming together.George
  5. Hi Goran, (this is getting to be a monologue)I've figured out what you meant by "put it in the library", so I've done that. I'm now off to create the path (flight).Thank you for your assistance,George
  6. Hi Goran,I have created an api and and an sca and imported it into Airport for Windows then created a bgl. You said above that I needed to view the model in Airport then put it in the libary. How do I put it in the library? Also, with a stretch of the imagination, the view in Airport could be a Spitfire, what do you think?George
  7. Thanks again Goran,It seems as though FSDS is the way to go.George
  8. >the hardest part is step 2.Well, I have now got FSDyn!, the only reference to macros is DynKit which uses FSFS aircraft converted by the FS98 converter.Where do I get or how do I create macros? (I have FS2002 and FS2004 loaded and have the original FS98 disks).George
  9. Thank you Goran,I'm off to find FSDyn and a tutorial on how to create aircraft macros.George
  10. I have an addon airport which has a couple of Tiger Moths doing loops :(This seemed to suggest that one could create a typical Spitfire airshow display, ie loops, rolls, low fly past etc.I have searched the forums and the web for tutorials on how I might implement this, but the only references I can find are for FS98 and FS2000. Are any tutorials/programs available for FS2004?Obviously it would be easier to use a recorded flight for the flightpath, but if necessary I could create 3D coordinates. Thanks in anticipation of a flood of advice,George
  11. Stevo,Have you seen "Masterplan.pdf" at http://www.newcastleinternational.co.uk/Co...cat=274&cat=274 ?It contains some "artists impressions" of the current and future expansion. "Surface_access.pdf" at http://www.newcastleinternational.co.uk/Co...cat=275&cat=275 also contains some plan views.George
  12. Thanks Holger,I'll download ai_helos now.George
  13. I'm not sure whether this is the correct forum, however I have a problem with AI helicopters in FS9.I've created an afcad with a 1300m long, 20m wide runway and helicopters almost never land. In fact on go-around, they disappear into the wide blue yonder. I did have three doing t&g and they did land once, however I needed to make a change to the afcad file to place hold short nodes at the helipads as they all parked in the same spot and they have never landed since.I'm using the FS2002 Stemme airfile from aheli_6.zip and modified my aircraft cfg to something like the UH60.Is there an equivalent set for FS9?George
  14. This is definitely the wrong forum.George :+
  15. I live approximately half way between Teesside and Newcastle, both would be fantastic.George
  16. The first one worked this morning. Nice shots of Teeside.George
  17. >hello>>You can also see my Teesside Airport Pics at >>www.fs9world.netfirms.com>>StevoHi Steve,Neither of the links work for me.George
  18. Glad to have been of help.George
  19. Pimwa,TTools should have placed it for you in Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9SceneryWorldscenery as long as you had the correct output path selected, see my first screenshot.GeorgeBy the way, you did have GA traffic checked in your Options/Traffic and you did have the percentage traffic set to more than 10% didn't you?
  20. Rudder,Here are the 1 line contents of each of the files, using your example above:airports_rudder.txt (obtained from the originall extracted airports):KOKV,N39* 8.61',W78* 8.66',725aircraft_rudder.txt (obtained from the originally extracted aircraft):AC#51,124,"Piper Cherokee 180"flightplans_rudder.txt (obtained from your post)AC#51,N3502R,10%,2HR,VFR,20:15:00,TNG21:15:00,17,F,0000,KOKV,20:45:00,TNG21:15:00,17,F,0000,KOKVThe attached pics show the TTools window (select File/User defined source file) and the result in FS9 using Tools/Traffic toolbox/ExplorerHope this helps,Georgehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/72022.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/72023.jpg
  21. rudder,I use separate files for my add-on flight plans and have had no problems with TTools and FS9. You could try setting up the airports, aircraft and flightplans files for your specific flightplan rather than use the whole of the default files.George
  22. rudder,Are you using the default airports and aircraft text files or are you using separate files compatible with your flightplans?George
  23. Tom,You provided the clue. UK2000 now includes a separate AFCAD area in the scenery library. The installation program for Heathrow Pro placed this below UK2000 Part 4 in the priority list.I've now moved it up and everything is fine.Thank you very much,George
  24. rudder,MSINET.OCX is an ActiveX control to allow access to the internet. It should be included in your OS. Presumably yRoute uses this to check for updates.Try a Google/MS search for MSINET.OCXGeorge
