  3. I think the New Textures from Lynn and Bill Lyons and Daniel and are Fantastic and Excellent :-) Hardworking contributers to FS Realism :-)With whats avalable now you can mix and match to your own personal tasteI think there work is great especially in there striving for ExcellenceWell Done ThankyouGregNew Zealand

  4. Good Point BobYes my post was a mixed bag and I guess that happens when you get on line after a frustating FS experience, and that is why it sounds like it did which I thought at the time was mild. You are true in what you sayIts not logical to insult people if you wish their helpI daily check the Forums for advise and seldom miss any main points that move through the forums. I was enjoying my FS experience well untill that 1-2 fps issue and having just spent $400 bucks on a Video Card I felt really let down by the Software, anycase thats my view. I also appreciate what you said.If you weren't writing to Microsoft, why pretend to be?.I adressed it like that because I felt 70% venting and maybe I need to look at changing the way I express that emotive stuff. Thanks BobKind RegardsGreg

  5. Got no problem with your comments BobbyThanks for your inputJust beats me Why this bizzare fps happens on my rig on a tiny airport on a tiny Island Rarotonga in Cessna AmphibianCheers GregI may go back and rebuild my system from a fresh image I made with PowerQuest Drive Image 5.0 before I added any thing to the system other than Its own XP clean Install

  7. I've been looking at the default.xml structure and can see it has Defined Code areas Code A through to IIve noticed that the guids objects are repeated in each sectionalso Code sections Like Rural Large, Rural Medium, Urban small, Urban medium ,Urban LargeDoes anyone think that there is a way of trimming down the guids so they are not repeated ,could that be the problem that they are repeated in different code sections so muchCould we remove entire sections like Urban small plus Urban medium and just modify Urban large to contain what we want?Just Bouncing ideas around ,I'm no programer but do like to put some thought into thingsWhat concerned me was the number of repeated guids in each section [A to I] and that somehow code is triping over itselfWhat do theses A to I code sections mean or define cold we live with just urban medium fo instance and chop the rest??Just stuff for thought and explorationAnyone know of a Good freeware xml editorKind regards GregNew Zealand

  8. Thank you for giving us patches for Fs2000 we really appreciated your interest in the problems and your response to FlightsimIt made us think yes you do care more than just money quality is important.Well if you are listning scanning the forums please do something for the Sim againI mean how can one take of from an Ultra Basic Airport like Rarotonga for my test case, an Island with not much fancy Autogen. Take of at + 40fps fly straight out a few kilometres turn around to come straight back in, still at 40+ fps then touch down and everything goes about 1-2 fps!. Whats the story , I can turn pages on a magazine faster than that.If I rename your default.xml in the autogen folder the Problem seems solved, but you should not have to do that. Come on , we support you how about some feedback. I enjoy the Sim and Learn alot from it. But I cannot learn from Touchdown and Taxi at 1-2 fps.If you read this thankyou for you timeMany of us spend well over 10 times the sims price just to have an As Real as it Gets Experience with the ProductI hope we will be able to say soon it was Worth itKind regards GregNew ZealandWarp factor 6 :-)

  9. Yes Thanks that sounds like a good option in New Zealand as Price for a 9600 pro 256 meg is around $360 which isnt bad fo DX9 complientIm not one for large fancy airports and like sticking to hills and Geographical features so I like weather settings cranked up I like 3d clouds and good distance viewsCan the 9600 pro handle that well or better to get 9700Also is shimmering textures an issue? Thanks for any response your time is appreciatedCheers Greg New Zealand

  10. Hi thereHere in New Zealand Video cards cost an arm and a leg and I have between $400 and maybe $600 to spare on a decent CardMy present card is a GF2MX 400 64 mb so as you can see probably whatever I get will be a great boostI have done much homework on reviews and tried carefully to decipher and pick through the very ingageing threads on Nvidia Vs RadeonI have been copying and pasting the crucial bits to a Document to help me weigh up the answerBasicaly Price wise and DX9 compliant I can get GForceFX 5600 basic card 128 mb $449.96Radeon 9600 Pro 128 mb $479.95Radeon 9800 SE $420.00$400-$600 bucks is still hard earned money to me and am not likely to be in the hunt for another card for a while so I would greatly appreciate some main pointers that present users are experiencing from both camps if a few can sum up the best and worst of both cards It will go a long way to helping a decisionI also use my computer for 3D Graphics and CadAlso can the average simmer tell the difference between the cards like the issue with AA alpha textures [is there some screen shots of the same scene using the two cards so one might make a visual judgement to see if it really makes that much differenceIn much appreciation of the forthcoming replys as I know some people may be feeling a tad worn out by all this Video businessKind RegardsGregNew Zealandhttp://nzcoaster.kiwiclub.com
