  1. Hi FolksI am trying to establish a set of tools to use for scenery design. I have settled on SBuilder for my main design tool and GIMP for my image editor.I have GMax and the latest version of FSDS. I also have EOD and Novasim. I would like to learn either GMax or FSDS in depth for oject design. I really do not have the time of brain cells left to learn both so I guess I am asking the very hard question - which one? I guess I want a tool that has some future proofing for future versions of FS and that means producing xml type objects. I am asl oaware that Autodesk are pulling the plug on Gmax in some way or other - though given the level of investment in it as the tool of choice for FS by Microsoft I can surmise that it will survive.Anyway to re-iterate the question - if you had to pick one to learn which would it be :-) (unfair question I know but...........)
  2. Thanks very much Jan I will do that this evening when I get home from work :-)
  3. Hi JimThanks very much - that is exactly what I am trying to achieve! I would like to be able to put it into a switch though if I can
  4. Hi AllI am a GA flyer who does not use an autopilot much. What I would like though is to be able to engage the AP to hold my current heading and altitude - bit like having a co-pilot when you need to go to the bathroom :-) who will keep things straight and level until you get back. I don't need or want to set heading or altitude neither do I need the other AP functions.I guess this would actually be quite simple if I understood how to program gauges in xml. All I want is a single button on the panel which when clicked will engage the AP and hold current heading and altitude and when clicked again will just disengage the AP.I have started to read up on xml gauge programming but any help would be much appreciatedthanks in advance
  5. Just noticed this - and I do not want to get embroiled in a flame war, however my recollection of events tallies with Julie's on this one.
