Ai Aircraft In "select Aircraft" Menu
HiI was once told that and AI aircraft.cfg file could be edited so that it does not show up in the "Select Aircraft" Menu. Would someone be so kind as to refresh my memory and I promise to write it down :( BestVern

Virtual Cockpit alias
HIMy question; Is there some kind of link between an aircraft model and a virtual cockpit panel in FSX?I downloaded a POSKY CRJ for FSX and aliased the panel to the stock CRJ-700. The 2D works fine but in virtual cockpit I see the panel BMP's but no gauges.TIAVern

Adding autogen trees
Thank you for your reply Arno.I am not familiar with what a VTP polygon is or how to add it. Is there somewhere I can find more information on this. Also is there a specific texture associated with it for trees and if so the file name. Thanks againVern

Adding autogen trees
HiI'm in the process of re-building one of my sceneries and would like to know if there is a way to add autogen trees to a specific area that presently just shows grass. The area in question is parallel and quite close to a runway edge. When I originally designed the scenery for FS2002 I used the outstanding trees by Gerrish Grey, which I was totally happy with, but had some complaints about the framerate hits they caused. I removed them but still want to have some sort of trees in this specific area as the scenery just doesn't look right without them.TIA for suggestionsVern

Question On Excludes
Hi DonUsing Airport for Windows v3 Build 185I also had a problem similar to yours .. I was adding some objects to a scenery that I had previously designed and after compiling it lost all my added buildings. When I checked the files Airport had added an extra exclude file that I had not put in. When I deleted it the buildings reappeared.Example (the 3 exclude files I put in previously) exclud_Com1.bgl exclud_Com2.bgl exclud_Com3.bglAfter compiling another one was added .. exclude_comox.bgl I deleted it and all was back to normal. This happened on two different sceneries I was working on.I am not sure what/why happened but it worked for me.BestVern

Undocking Windows
Thanks for the replies .. much appreciated. I didn't explain it very clearly what I was looking for:-) .On monitor 1 I was able to set it up in virtual cockpit so that the spotter could look out the side window and scan. That was no problem. I was also able to undock the panel and move it to monitor 2. Pretty straight forward there:D Here is the problem. There was no outside view in monitor 2 ie.. no scenery so couldn't see where I was flying. My question; is it possible to set up the 2nd monitor so that I can see the scenery (visual references)for flying the aircraft at the same time the scenery also appears on monitor 1?ThanksBestVern

Undocking Windows
HiCould someone please tell me if this is even possible and if so how?:-) What I would like to do is, on the main monitor have the virtual cockpit view looking out the side of the aircraft AND on the second monitor the main panel and forward view (2D or Virtual, doesn't matter)for flying. So far I've managed to get main monitor set up the way I want it and the panel on the second monitor showing but with no outside view to see where I am going.I am trying to set up a tutorial / training session for search and rescue scanning procedures whereby the trainee could practice scanning techniques while I can still fly the plane using the second monitorHope this is possibleThanksVern

AI Traffic Instantly Appears
Hi TomThanks very much for your help. After hours of troubleshooting it turned out to be a bad AI Aircraft. It was designed to work in FS2002 only and required updating to FS2004. Also there were errors in the aircraft.cfg file. Why it worked in FS2002 I'll never know. Without that CTRL+W reminder I would have never been able to find it.:-lol You latest tips are also very useful.BestVern

AI Traffic Instantly Appears
Thanks Tom and Robert for your suggestions. I forgot about the CTRL+W .. a great feature. The flightplans are from Most Realistic AI Routes and are quite long and daunting to check for arrival/departure times. I checked them with AITM Ver2 and all the flightplans appear OK with the exception it recommends lower FL's Still no luck with finding the problem. As I said the AI Traffic is a PAI B737-200 Westjet. I set the time 20 min before arrival (FL is 360)but no sign of the aircraft with CTRL+W. At about the correct arrival time .. POOF .. the aircraft just magically appears at the ramp. Further, it will not depart.I checked the parking spot with another aircraft (Shorts 360)and the aircraft arrived and departed OK.A real head scratcher Vern

AI Traffic Instantly Appears
I'm having trouble with one particular flightplan in FS2004. I set the time 10 minutes ahead of when a scheduled aircraft (PAI B737-200 Westjet) is to arrive. There is no approach or landing at all .. the aircraft just suddenly appears at the assigned parking spot. Another type of aircraft I have assigned going to this spot works fine. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be?TIAVern
