  1. Thanks krono.....Definitely will check out "Twomon Pc" - looks like what I am looking for (and not expensive). and Thanks LesOReilly.....the RealSimGear 750 with bezel is expensive, BUT what a great idea! If there is an acceptably low frame hit, I think it would be the cat's meow.
  2. Thanks Egguzman for that recommendation - it looks promising! And thanks Steve - I checked out the Jon Fly link, and hopefully it can work in P3D.....Bob: good point about the possible hit to the main screen. Good info so far - thanks you guys.
  3. Is there anyone using the GTN 750 on a tablet? I think it would be a great (more realistic and efficient) way to interface with P3D. A search did not turn up much except for someone using an "external touch screen monitor in undocked window". I did look into this a number of months ago, and what I found available then was F1 Tech's expensive G750 which would (apparently) run on a Windows tablet [only].....So, I am hoping that some simmers are successfully running the 750 on an external tablet. If so, any guidance is appreciated.....thanks, bill.
  4. Thanks Jean-Luc. It looks like it will be better for me to run the GTN(s) on a second monitor (i have a 24" in portrait mode).....rather than mess with a touch screen tablet - that may not work. If I drag the unit(s) to the second monitor, can I re-size to "larger-than-life" for the old eyes....thanks, bill.
  5. Can the the GTNv2 Navigators be run on a Tablet (therefore, getting a truer touchscreen experience)? If so, would the Tablet need to be a "Windows" tablet?.....Or would Android do? Finally, my goal is to run it on a 10 inch tablet - can the GTN be (over) stretched to fill most of the screen....Thanks in advance for any info....bill.
  6. Thanks dazz......Yours is very similar to what I chose, except I had tried to work in Word Not Allowed's "2x Sparse Grid Sampling". I am going to give your "4x supersampling" a go.....Btw: I am using (the almost) newest NI, and the newest Nvidia drivers......And I am using the 1/2 Refresh Rate (in NI) with frames set to max 30 in FSX.
  7. Just trying to get back into FS.....I have the latest Inspector and video card drivers. I would be interested to see the Inspector settings of other 460 owners (for some direction)....Btw: I7-930 OC to 4.0 Mhz. .......Thanks in advance.....swanfly
  8. I am just setting up a computer for FSX, and this was a good question (for me, too). Is there a guide/list of what installs where?I will be using a 600G Velociraptor. Initial installs will be PNW, REX, F1 Mustang, F1 PC12 (maybe).....Later: GEX, UTX.Thanks for all the info already.....Bill.
  9. Thanks, Mike. The latest post from NickN looks like the ticket, and the previous link to Tabs' method was informative, too. Thanks, jja. You are right - Inspector is not that daunting.....Bill.
  10. Just getting ready to load FSX on new computer (which includes an MSI GTX-460 video card). Any observations on which is the better route to go for getting the best visuals? There is the new "NVidea Inspector" v1.92 (which looks complicated). And there is NHancer which needs a workaround, i believe.....thanks, Bill.
  11. Thanks for the info. The MCP "Advanced..." is the one I need (for smaller planes). I wonder if there is a universal setup for all (smaller) payware planes.....Yikes your Pro module looks (and fits) great....Bill.
  12. Just getting back into FS (FSX), and would like to use a hardware autopilot like GoFlight MCP (and a Comm/Nav unit). I will probably also purchase the Flight1 PC12, but will be using other similar aircraft (payware and stock). Do Goflight units work with most aircraft? Is there a list?.....When I emailed GoFlight over a year ago with a similar question, I received no reply......So, I don't want to spend a bundle of money if it does not work on the planes I will be flying......Any advice appreciated - thanks in advance, Bill.
  13. Assuming 150 knots in terminal area, (and 15 deg. flaps), would you gradually lose speed, so you don't have too much to give away (at once) when you intercept glideslope?.......I'm assuming dropping of gear at GS intercept would be normal way of losing some speed. Thanks in advance for any info, Bill. btw: PC-12 is FlightOne's.
  14. Using 15 deg. of flap and gear down, if I approach at book approach speed of 98 knots, approach seems correct ( power back to 5-10%)......but if I center AOA, speed decays to approx 89-90 [which is 30 deg flap bookspeed??]. Am I doing something incorrectly? Thanks for any advice, Bill.....btw: This is with FlightOne PC12.
