  1. This is a good idea, I will check these addons as well. When I first flew for several times the Tutorial flight to get used to the procedures, views etc, I already was astonished because of the programmed weather file and cloud buildings and raining. So you are right I will check these mentioned addons out. But what made me so happy is the accuracy of VC-flying, all modelled so nice, not to forget the trim behaviour, the procedures and operations. It is so hard to learn how systems work (and I know a lot about Aircraft Systems, own ALL AOM
  2. I just would like to let everybody know how I feel about this Jetstream. The textures indeed are the best I ever used in any flightsimulator (started with 95 Vesion)After a Century of Flight (2004) FS9.1 I stopped using Flight Simulator for almost 3 years. Now, using Win7-64 bit and Deluxe FS+Acceleration installed, I started to manage the operationof Jetstream. After some trouble with CTD as discribed here inside PMDG Forum, since using the uiautomationcore.dll-version2008 (vista) with 149 kb, and a reinstall, all seems to work fine. (10 FLights now without any trouble. So after even some 4 month of "work" (due to work in real life as well) I managed to operate and ENJOY this100%-Satisfying Aircraft made by PMDG.I think, once I manage to install RealtyXP WX500 some day, I won
  3. As I bought the boxed version around November 2009, how can I check, if i need to install the service pack, as indicated inside PMDG files section, as you are referring there to a specific download date? Second I would like to know, why did I need to register myself once again with a second username and pw using the new support section instead of using my PMDG username. Thanks for reply, Helmut Stephany
  4. Hi iFLYrcas I wrote in my earlier post, "closed for takeoff and closed for landing"...for RWY19... and so onI am glad that you solved your problemIndeed, I have had (and probabely still have) problems with parking spots, as an example: it happened to me, that I was assigned to a parking gate by (FS)-ATC and parked my Aircraft; nevertheless another AI-Aircraft happened to park at the same spot "overrunning" my plane , something what should not happen. As well I experienced that - allthough I assigned for example 10 Parking spots to Air France, Heavy, Gate, 41 radius, only one or two are used by AI-Traffic...I just don
  5. Hi, iFLYrc,I have just done two take-offs and landings at TJSJ as VFR-Request and Online Weather (110/7) and was observing my own clearance as well as ATC-one for AI-Traffic.Here my statitics:I had first take-off RWY 08, first landing RWY 10, second take-off RWY 10 and second landing at RWY 08 !Now AI-Traffic:Two Take-Offs Runway 10Three Landings Runway 10Two Take-Offs Runway 08Two Landings Runway 08********************************This is my AFCAD AF2_TJSJ looking like:4 (FOUR) Runways:Designator Length Width8/26 3.149,50 Mtrs 61 Mtrs1/19 10,00 Mtrs 10 Mtrs2/20 10,00 Mtrs 10 Mtrs10/28 2.592,40 Mtrs 45,7 Mtrs***************Example Rwy 08: True Heading 66.90
  6. Hi Ilwoodward,I can tell you that I had to fight a lot until I learned to understand what is important to "convert" a flyable Amphibian Aircraft to be used as AI-Float-Plane.The most important "experience" was, that usually you have to have a closer look (and make changes) to the contact-point section (the FLOATS-section especially). AS an example I used to FLY (myself) the Empire-SHORT, but when I decided to use it for AI-traffic, it jumped and bumped all the time while "pushing back" from its (invisible) parking spot as well as it was usually unable to take off, as the contact points for the Gear had to be modified as well (due to the invisible (yes, INVISIBLE!) but still existing Runway at sealevel) as the power setting for takeoff was set inside the aircraft.cfg for Runway-takeoff [exacly at this moment, when the Aircraft inside water is going to "line-up" the runway]. So the floating-section as well as the Gear-section inside the contact points have to be modified.I am unable to explain here in a few words how this has to be done. You have to experience with those to values as well as with the Center of Gravity. But it is a good idea to "observe" what you are changing in the way that you may add LIGHT-effects like beacon, strobes or navred and navgreens inside the contact-point-section while modifying, so you can "see" what you are changing (and you will have to deletee them after making the modifications of course)Now, regarding your specific question, may I take as an example the CL415, a beautyful Amphibian: In this case, the problem is, that as it is intented to be used for AI-traffic, it cannot take-off with gears up (and it cannot land without gear down) due to the way AI-Traffic works. Nevertheless, it is no real problem, as the Real-Life-Model of the CL415 does the same: at leat after landing, the pilot -the aircraft still inside water- extends Gear-Down when aproaching the ramp to go out of the water. The CL415 is used (for example at Mallorca in Spain for the Spanish Fire Department, and in a "real" video I saw that this is exactly what happens, the Gear is down inside water when aproaching the ramp (the only difference is, that in real life the touchdown is made still with Gear-Up-PostitionNevertheless, it is possible to be used as AI-traffic. I made a video of it (using the CL415 after receiving the (french)-Tutorial of MOMOGTV. The zipname is available at at avsim, do a search for the Author, MAURICE AUDIN (who helped me a lot!) The AI-Video you can download (rightclick and save as) from my server, the Video-Title is AQUA ( http://www.helmut-stephany.de )If you need a modified aircraft-cfg-file for the CL415, I may send it to you (or I will upload it to my server)Sorry for the long post. Hope it helps, cheers, Helmut
  7. Thank you Jeff for this nice Video.I have never seen it this like, it
  8. not to forget the LEGS-Page. The last entry (before continued by "missed aproach" if programmed/selected) is the selected RUNWAY.Indicated: RWxyL <--> 147/346 (as an example) which means landing speed and ALTITUDE 346 Feetcheers, Helmut
  9. @ PONYBOY,Thank you for both links!!!cheers, GB007http://www.helmut-stephany.de
  10. I did some using NERO because you are able to add two Audio-streams,but I changed to Windows Movie Maker as it seems to be more reliable. At present I uploaded four examples between 19 MB and 58 MB (http://www.helmut-stephany.de). If you take in mind that a single 30-second-frame using FRAPS may result in an .avi-size of more than 128 MB (!) the "final result" of 50 MB for a 10-minutes-.WMV isn
  11. This one is really a dream. Yesterday I tried a VERY-short trip from TNCM to TJSJ at 100 Feet ASL. INCREDIBLE
  12. I bought FeelTheres CRJ as WILCO Edition for 2004, and I was happy with it. But the development was FeelThere, Wilco was just publishing(collecting money without ANY service -so making the product just more expencive), the REAL service came from FeelThere.FeelThere will know why thay decided no to let Wilco publish the CaravanAnd now: Only a very few people have even seen the real cockpit of the faboulous A 380, and Wilco will have everything but any AOM.So I wouldn
